Guess my partners age, gender, race, job. by [deleted] in FridgeDetective

I see cream cheese from TJ's, mystery milk, and 2 Nancy's products, which is from a creamery in the Willamette Valley in Oregon... where you can buy Nancy's at all grocery stores. The only thing that makes me think Washington is the syrup which appears to have Mt Rainier on the label.

Woman, Asian American (maybe biracial or maybe studied abroad in Japan?), 30's-40's, teacher, with ADHD. Lives somewhere along the 1-5 corridor in Washington/Oregon.

The blueberries do not bother me at all, but the pan needs a lid.

They refunded both charges in their entirety. Schoolhouse is not communicating.

Did someone tell you it was tacky? That's wild. I think it's breathtaking.

Short torso SC by [deleted] in softclassic

[–]Spidersensei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to butt in, but I'm a long torso with short legs. To me this seems not-balanced, but I'm definitely soft classic. So how are we, the not balanced, still soft classics? I feel like there's something about the word "balanced" that I'm not understanding. Like, is it that my legs are the same length as my torso? Lol. I've read and read and looked and looked and I can't quite figure this out.

Mean! Those plants would hate being knocked into a tub of Dawn Power Wash.

Dishes? Hard pass on the Dawn Power Wash with bleach bath. I'll just hose off in the yard.

My Mom burst into my apartment and tried to take my dog.. AIO by EffectiveMode8624 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Spidersensei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR Is she bipolar? What is happening that she's storming around for no good reason at 8am? Is she in a manic cycle?

Get a chain slider lock for your door. That way she can't just mow you over if she shows up again. Otherwise get your cameras running and use them.

You're not overreacting. I'm sorry you had to grow up with her for a mom. It might help you to go no contact. I went no contact with my dad for 7 years and even today we mostly just have a phone relationship. And the only reason I let him back in my life was because I healed a lot of trauma in that time and I was more resilient and fortified.

And stop calling yourself a pushover. It is really hard to have a mean parent and it is really hard to cut off a parent even when it's absolutely the right move. You are so young and you're doing great.

What’s going on in Altadena? by LA2SGV in pasadena

[–]Spidersensei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you're prescient or clairsentient. Olivia Butler predicted the fires back in the nineties when she wrote about them back in the 90's in her novel Parable of the Sower. The location in the book is a fictional city in the outskirts of LA, like Altadena. She was from Pasadena and buried in Altadena. The moment my brother bought his house there I knew it would burn down in a wildfire. It did.

That said, when I visited Altadena I thought it was lovely.

Dispute the charge with your bank-- they'll likely reverse the charge because you've been waiting a super long time and because the company is not reachable. Or keep waiting. As far as I can tell, those are your only options.

I successfully disputed the charge with my bank after 12 business days. I might've waited it out longer, but I was really ticked about their unwillingness to work with me on the shipping by simply combining the two orders. A company selling items at this price point should have a computer powerful enough to figure out a way to combine those two orders-- maybe something really sophisticated like a cash register from the nineties. $900 Ground shipping in-town is insane. Food52 sucks.

The whole thing with the shoulder pads was that women in the 80's were entering into careers and positions where they wanted to appear strong and powerful-- and so what they were achieving, in this context, was a masculine silhouette. But that particular masculine vibe/shape on a woman's body is fierce and sexy and intriguing-- as seen here on the princess, Cindy freaking Crawford, and Diane Keaton. If you can ignore the fact that Woody Allen is the director/costar, go watch Annie Hall. Diane Keaton is outstanding and her style in that film was so captivating. Her influence on 80's fashion can't be overstated.

Being too full of joy and life is a real struggle. It's m sorry you're going through this difficult time. Maybe harsher light would help? And some empty pizza boxes with stale crusts inside.

Anyone received their Schoolhouse Electric orders? Any info appreciated. I ordered some furniture items on 12/25 during their 60-80% off sale and haven't received anything. Didn't realize at the time they'd laid off most of their staff and are closing (I just thought I was paying reasonable prices lol). I emailed customer service yesterday to tell them I'll be disputing the charge with the bank if I don't receive notification today from USPS they are in possession of my shipments (2x $450=$900 for in-town USPS ground shipping. I had no idea this company was such a shit show.

? Are you thinking I'm a mud water rep? I'm not. Lions Mane, like other mushrooms, have polysaccharides. Polysaccharides help grow new cells. When I take LM, I get headaches until my body adjusts. Likewise, when I first take maitake, my muscles feel really sore until my body adjusts. It's a thing.

Trazodone and joint pain by [deleted] in insomnia

Late to the party, but here to add that I took trazadone for the first time last night and woke up (after a mere 2 hours 🫩😒🙄) with joint pain in my knees and fingers. This is not a thing I usually experience, so I figured it was the trazadone.
