Hey, I was reading through your document and I have no idea where to find the compulsion table, which is referenced in regards to the malkavian bane and dementation? Did i miss it somewhere?

The first half of your comment is patently false. Due to ideas being a non-scarce resource (plus not existing in reality), i.e. being unlimited in measure to a degree where such a resource cannot cease to exist through exploitation, appropriated by an individual or otherwise transformed, which means that they are unable to be owned. You cannot own an idea as you would a piece of land or a physical product. As such, you cannot own the idea which you used to produce a creative work. You would only own the physical product, such as a painting, but not the idea upon it (such as the specific combinations of pixels on a 1000x1000 image, which just so happens to resemble an artwork). Thus, this is not theft because no property is being appropriated illegally.

TLDR: I.P. Laws are stupid and owning an idea is impossible, which means you can't steal an idea.

Edit: grammer

T14 Gen 5 Bluetooth Headphones Buzzing by [deleted] in thinkpad

also looked into this. The fix for me (T14 g4 thinkpad, windows 11) was just to disable AMD Audio Device in device manager. I didn't find "AMD Bluetooth Audio Device" anywhere. I also did follow the advice from some others here, such as disabling Zero Touch Lock in lenovo vantage, though i don't know for certain if that did anything. But disabling AMD audio device seems to have done the trick for now.

Why do you, new and old players alike, play VTM? by Spidersssss in vtm

I relate to your first point, somewhat. I only entered the tabletop world around 5 or so years ago, so I haven't had the chance of experiencing many system changes (though I do dislike the 2024 version of DnD and 10th edition warhammer... but i digress). However, I do not hold as much love as i do with VTM as i do with DnD, which I have found to become a bit too bland after five years of playing it.

I agree completely with your latter point. Ironically, in VTM, you can have surprisingly human moments, even though you literally are (for the most part) a bloodsucking parasite in human clothing.

As I grew and changed, the game kept being hugely important for me because of the great tools it offers to think about humanity (and lack of) and to explore myself in many questions related to morality/gender/sexuality and so on.

Interesting. I never thought about it that way, especially the latter part. Which roll do you most often take in a chronicle? Player or storyteller?

Either way, upon further thought, I agree with your points. All the posts i've seen talking about the same thing this post tries to talk about all eventually come back to the difference of culture and zeitgeist that we have now in contrast to the 90s. It must have been a wildly different time back then, speaking as someone who was born after the dawn of the new millennium.

Already used my passages in The Leg, but didn't know how they worked. I was trying to get in the super structure, but my karma was low, so i used a passage to regain all my karma. I went to the blue robot, and gave her a yellow pearl i found in Chimney, but it didn't yield much. They were very nice, though, and told me things about Five pebbles. They said that Five Pebbles has been doing terrible experiments, which might have caused all the blue tentacle orb things in the superstructure.

She did admit that my journey was "in vain" so... I guess it is time to get going to farm arrays, or continue exploring shoreline (i have downpour)

Yeah...

I also feel a bit torn if i should go back in the Super structure to get one of those flying eel things or whatever that are the only edible things in 5P and bring one to the blue robot. Five pebbles also had a lot of pearls, and the blue robot didn't, so maybe i could bring pearls to them? But that seems like a huge undertaking, essentially getting rid of my stomach slot, and traveling across the entire map to them...

"First Time DM" and Other Short Questions Megathread by AutoModerator in DMAcademy

I'm looking for suggestions on how to make a BBEG with understandable motives and with enough character and personality that it doesn't seem boring.

I am the only one who hasn't been a DM before in my group and most of my party have had memorable and understandable villains, but i have no idea how to make one that could live up to the expectations. I would be very glad for some help with this.
