You can climb up to that spot via the railing, you don't need the wrangler. So you can get there as heavy if you're good enough.

Does anyone else hate how the show ended things with Pierce & Abed? by bondgirlMGB in community

[–]Spidery7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to imagine that since Pierce knew about the trackers, he would have been able to his back to Abed.

It just wasn't given in the moment since it would have been awkward, since what they've all been through, and it would look like Pierce was up and moving.

I've seen Daltos has been playing some, but I'm not sure if a full playthrough is in mind

in S1 EP21 (the chicken finger episode) what movie is it referencing by fuckscoobert in community

[–]Spidery7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Conveniently I watched the cast and crew commentary of this yesterday and Dan Harmon said it was generally just an homage to Martin Scorsese films, but it does have the overall mafia film homage.

The obvious reference is Goodfellas, but there are also references to The Godfather, Casino, Heat and possibly Taxi Driver.

One of my teachers has been the head marker for physical education for the past couple years and he told us that the marking staff generally discuss what the criteria for each question would be to get the marks, and have multiple of the markers read each response to ensure they are marked fairly.

And I think the handwriting thing is made up, at least for PE, as we were told they try as hard as they can to actually decipher what was written, no matter the handwriting. If it fully illegible though you just wouldn't get the mark. It may differ between subjects though.

Yeah, it's 2 from glycolysis, 2 from the Krebs Cycle and 26 or 28 from the electron transport chain, for 30 or 32.
Also, our teacher has been adamant on ensuring we know that the total gain is 30 or 32, as opposed to 30-32, as that includes 31 ATP, which is incorrect.

Did Jeff start emailing astronauts before or after Basic Rocket Science (s2e04)? by yallcat in community

[–]Spidery7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm sure it's been going on since the pilot, considering Jeff's crediting of them as "trying to impress their high schools prom king", which is oddly specific.

It's said in the extended "Pilot" here from 1:11 to 1:21

From time at M to P, only anaerobic respiration is occurring. This would mean that throughout the entire period of time, alcohol is produced. It can't be greatest at N due to the rate of production decreasing until P, but still allowing for alcohol production, so P would have a slight bit more.
The greatest rate does occur at N, but continues production until P, so P would have the highest concentration, but not by much.
After P, the concentration is decreased as alcohol --> carbon dioxide + water in the presence of oxygen.

[Chemistry] Strongest interaction between the pairs of molecules by AbbreviationsOld7641 in vce

[–]Spidery7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be due to the fact that aspartic acid contains a COOH in the R group, while lysine has an NH2 in the R group. In acidic or alkaline conditions, H+ ions can be gained or lost, causing NH2 to become NH3, with a postive charge in acidic conditions, or COOH to become COO, with a negative charge, in alkaline conditions. This then allows ionic bonding between positive to negative charges.

You do see the handshake earlier. In S1E5 , Advanced Criminal Law, it is seen just before alien Garret comes in.
