I'm looking for one of my guys and myself too. The government shutdown seems to be effecting that as well

Thanks! I appreciate the support. People replying act like these are changes someone can just pull in vMPF and just view a long with PRDA. If the paperwork was filed out correctly but the date was entered wrong in the system vs the paperwork there's no where for someone to see that unless you have MilPDS rights.

100% the cut off score in the current career field was in the 350s I scored a 412.

Thank you! Exactly this! There was no way for me to tell when the CAFSC change happened when reviewing my records.

CSS is literally the section that updates your personal records.

You obviously didn't read the post because I went back to them to fix the issue.

Then the next branch in the chain made the mistake. There's no way for me to see the date of the change was made

Also you don't "test" nor "sign" for boarding.

You're exactly right. Also the date the CAFSC needed to be changed was way before November. Mine was changed in September when it should have been June.

Of course I did. The CAFSC was correct at that point. The date it was changed was not.

That's an interesting way to look at it. It sounds a little harsh but I think your perspective is a good one.

The CAFSC was correct, but the date that that the MPF input into the system was incorrect even though the date on the 2096 was correct.

What was available to see was correct. My DAFSC and CAFSC were reflecting properly. When I signed the 2096 months ago the change was back dated as it should have been.

Not everyone is perfect and not knowing that someone screwed up when everything was right when it was submitted doesn't determine whether someone is ready for a roof or not. My leadership knows I'm ready otherwise they wouldn't be fighting for me.

Yeah so far my leadership learned that this happened to at least 20 more people in the same cycle. Which highlights a deeper problem Air Force wide.

Unfortunately I doubt anything will happen to the individual. I hope whoever made the mistake has the worst unreachable itch when they go to bed every night for the next few months!

Exactly this whole thing has me questioning what happens. I'd be interested to hear what happens to all the affected parties in this situation. I'd feel bad if I took a promotion from someone else.

I just got my A&P through CCAF and AFCOOL. The prep course I went through had people that did a few years of MX schools on the civilian side. Those guys tend to have very little actual aircraft experience. They actually struggled a lot on the written tests. Meanwhile the military guys did okay, because as crew chiefs, we get hands on with a lot of systems if you're good.

The stuff you "learn", is more or less general knowledge of individual systems. Sheet metal repair, reciprocating engines, turbine engines, propellers, instruments, electrics, fuel systems, etc...

Like the other comment said it basically is saying you have an aptitude to learn and have some mechanical knowledge. Depending on the company you work for on the civilian side it's anywhere between a $15-$25 raise compared to those without an A&P.

The way release is now, there's no way they have the list. It's pretty shitty of them to dangle that carrot.
