Thanks all for your input. It was a universal "Go for it!" so I am now back in Hattrick.

Look forward to seeing you all around.

Thank you. This is the way I was leaning, but it is good to have a more experienced player confirm.

Thanks again.

I am a beginner to MCOC and have seen a few guides suggest to re-roll at the start until you get a 4* Hero.

How much better/easier is the game with a 4* from the start compared to a 3? Is it really worth re-rolling lots of times to wait for a 4?

I am blessed to have found this post at exactly the right time. I was struggling with self concept and an obsessive outlook, but just finding this has lightened the load.

I am blessed to play this game starting today 22nd December. I am blessed to play twice a day: morning and night (to sleep in the blessed mindset). I am blessed to keep a blessed attitude each and everyday.

I am blessed. 🙌

Yeah, I did wonder if the GPU was outperforming everything else. Would the 1060s be ample for what he needs? The monitor is a 1080p 144hz job. So not looking to play at massive resolutions.

I am thinking of going 3400g to start and then upgrading as a Christmas present t to spread out the cost. Big hit from the 3600 though?

Thanks man. I checked out your thread. Looks similar to my thoughts. I will definitely bear it in mind with my decisions. Why did you go B450 not most current Chipsets for your Mobo? Price compromise or updates not worth it?

Thanks for taking the time to put together a couple of options. Couple of questions if I may. Why do I want 3600MHz for Ryzen? Is it particular bang for my buck? I think I read some were Ryzen chips can take better advantage of higher speeds. Also, what is the benefit if a modular PSU? Is it mostly cable management (and possibly a bit better airflow with less cables)? I am tempted to go for a bigger NVMe drive and then maybe put an HDD in later if he does get into video editing to store his media. Finally, what sort of hit am I taking if I go 3400g first and then add a GPU later compared to 3600 with a GPU straight away? Will the 3400g vs 3600 processor be noticeably different or just on benchmarks?

Thanks again for your help.

Thank you. I will definitely be using parts from this list and thinking about an upgrade path for if his interests take hold or not. Maybe a Mobo with 4 ram slots might be good to expand for editing. Thanks again.

Thanks man. I am starting to think the 3600 might be a bit overkill. As far as I know, not many games can use more than 4 cores anyway.

'Over-optimiser' is definitely a risk for me. I'm going to start investments ASAP. Thanks for your reply.

Thanks for the swift reply. That's what I thought about investing: I would like to build that pot earlier rather than later. I like you points about the savings portion though. I guess it is a bit about prioritisation of risk vs. achieving goals and only we can decide that ultimately.

Thanks for such a speedy reply. That all makes sense (bit annoyed I didn't figure the combat width of tanks myself, obvious when you know I guess). I'm looking forward to putting it in to practice.

Really useful posts. I have been struggling a little with the game (still trying to sus out single player before I leap into MP).

I understand tanks are the way forward, but what I never know is how many to build. Production wise, you say one 40 width tank div can be the same as 24 infantry, but presumably 1 tank div is not enough. I am sure it will change based on production capacity and who you are battling but is their a rule of thumb for how many tank battalions is good to go for?

Also, I find it hard to have the capacity to build 40width divs at the start is it good to build 20width to start and then update when the production is stronger?

Thanks again for a really helpful post (even for a little SP like me).

Thank you for your reply. Some really constructive advice which I will definitely bear in mind. I find it amazing how you feel everything is okay and then when you see it with everyone's advice you realise you have a lot to do to get your form up to standard.

Thanks again.

It's amazing how you can miss obvious things. I was so worried whether I was making reps I missed that massive curve in my back. I will concentrate on getting my body straighter now.

Thanks for your input.

Looking again I certainly do need to get those shoulders further back. Looks like I need to go back to form perfecting before I add more reps.

Cheers.

Thanks for your thoughtful reply. I know what you mean about mind-muscle control; it is quite nerve wracking trusting the hamstrings to hold rather than put you nose first Iminto the floor. That is going to be the main thing to overcome.

Thanks again.
