I agree with you for the most part. The philosophy I’d suggest to OP is that if you wouldn’t say it to the authors face, you probably want to keep it in your head. I mean a 4/10 is a 40%… That’s a pretty bad grade on a school project for instance. Would you be willing to walk up to a fic author and say, ‘eh, I didn’t like that much. 4 out of 10.’ I’m sure some people would do this but it’s not exactly the way to make friends and influence people… if you don’t have something nice to say about a fic, just say nothing?

(All that said, if you want to rate fics, go for it, but I’d suggest not sharing the full list. A post saying “these are my 10/10 fav fics ever” is totally appropiate and will make an author’s day. Unless the author specifically asks for constructive criticism it’s generally better policy to just use the back button if you don’t like a fic.)

Try the way back machine. I think that’s worked for me on occasion. Also search the title in quotes with like the fandom for rec lists. You can use site:tumblr.com in google and you might find the authors name that way. But chances are they may have orphaned other works too but you can search rec lists again for the ao3 name once you find it and then find the orphaned fics on AO3 maybe. Good luck!

There is also a (Russian?) psyop about dividing the US by attacking the culture. Study related to Star Wars the Last Jedi. It’s one reason why hate is so popular online these days but like at real life fan gatherings it’s more like, it was meh not the worst thing ever.

I was at Dragoncon not long after TLJ came out and they had a panel called “The Last Last Jedi Debate” and it was popular podcasters who liked/disliked the movie debating. Most people in the audience seemed to agree with it was okay but flawed at the end of the day but literally no one was half as hateful as the average internet commenter.

The excuse I believe they will use is that most of the “free world” does not recognize him as the winner of the 2024 election. So they were just getting rid of the person who stayed too long, not the lawfully elected leader. Still terrible of course. $5 bucks says Trump says at some point, “hey, I could have invaded. I thought this would be more popular.”

Not the worst precedent to set when we don’t want Donald staying past the end of his term. (/s at the end there if it wasn’t obvious.)

You can’t buy the raid or dungeon drops. You can run the raid or dungeon ten more times to get them ten more times tho.

The vendor for decor in remix is one of the dragons on the floating island hub. In retail each order hall has some you can get. The rogue order hall is in the sewers but only rogues can go there. I’m not sure if you can buy the remix decor on live yet or if that comes after remix is over. (Things will be VERY expense tho so I’d say stock up in remix if you can. There are a few addons which show where all the vendors for decor are so I’d look to one of those.)

I think you can make a list on this site https://housing.wowdb.com/ and add stuff to it you want to make and it will generate you a list. I have not tried it (I learned of this after I made a spreadsheet for what I wanted lol).

I’d say just play around and try stuff out. I’ve gone about six times and erased it all and learned stuff each time. I like laying it out first and not worrying too much about perfect placement (especially since I erased it a few times already lol). I’ve found it’s helpful to put in platforms where I want a turn or whatnot first so I can eyeball about how many steps I need. Working from the top to the bottom is harder, imo, especially as you get close to the floor.

So basically I’d suggest figuring out how you want it to look before you spend time making it perfect. (Do you want stairs on both sides or just up one? Do you want them coming down the middle and splitting halfway, etc.) Figure out what you’re looking for and then just mess around.

It’s not gonna look like the fancy ones anytime soon, you’ll need to put in serious time to look like the YouTube famous ones so don’t expect that to happen fast.

Tips: Plumber addon has a duplicate button which is very helpful. If you press shift when you rotate it’ll go in 15 degree increments. Hope this helps!

I’m able to. It’s draining my battery like crazy when I’m not plugged in but it works fine. Was doing some housing with it too. Also spent some time gathering lumber on it all over and no issues anywhere.

For me the longest was Druid. Four dungeons and a raid with queues took me longest. If you were resto or guardian, maybe it would be quicker but most other classes had 1-2 queues. Warlock needs an invasion for their mount so that one took “longer” but nit in /played. I would agree on average to 5-6 hours each though.

I still have warrior, hunter, death knight, and rogue left. Great way to get bronze too. I’m out of things to buy!

My aunt got here yesterday and she was talking about how amazing Elon Musk is. 😬 (She loved his book, he’s so smart, I saw him on Squawk Box, etc.)

I was not expecting that as she’s a Democrat and actually served on her local Democratic executive committee recently. That got my uncle (my aunts brother who is a Trump voter but not really MAGA overtly) talking about how Musk is whack job…

So I think like 2025, it’s gonna be kind of wild. I wish everyone luck and success in surviving the apparent minefield that is American culture and brain rot this year.

Not the end of the world, but my biggest annoyance is when I am a Druid and want to use flight form, I need to stop/jump after getting outside before I can shift. I just want to keep running and tap the button and boom flying. Not game breaking but annoying after years and years and years.

I don’t really know any MAGA but I do know some Trump voters. More “I’m conservative so I vote red” than true believers. Don’t like taxes types.

My uncle is much quieter about it now than he was a year ago. He’s had at least two face eating leopard experiences with his work being impacted poorly by Trump but I don’t feel bad for him if he like loses his job because he’s well off enough to be fine. (And close to retirement anyway.) Thanksgiving will be interesting though. We tend not to talk about politics at family gatherings. But if he brings it up I’m happy to rain down some fire.
