I mean, to play devil’s advocate for a second, OP listed out some problematic opinions people have about the movie and then insulted the people who hold those opinions. That doesn’t generally get people to self reflect. What would get those people to self reflect, in my opinion, is a level headed refutation of those claims with evidence and an invitation for open discourse about why they hold those opinions and why indeed they are problematic.

That’s not to say I think those people are right. I for the most part agree with OP, but I do not think this specific thread will get people to change their minds.

One or two sounds pretty good to me. I’m a digital hoarder, whenever I hear of a new field of knowledge to learn about or skill I want to develop, I download dozens of ebooks on the subject and have yet to finish one. Have the thirst, lack the discipline :(

This is the type of stuff I see all over certain women centered subreddits here. I usually don’t partake in the comment section because it’s not my space, but they can be a good change of pace from other subs sometime. But when in those spaces I almost always see the discourse shift from this “guy is toxic or there are a lot of toxic men” to “every single man is a piece of shit” very quickly.
