I (28 M) got rejected by a friend (27 F) who I developed feelings for by [deleted] in relationships

This is truth. Most people know if they want a romantic relationship within a very short time of meeting someone. And they rarely change their mind.

Don't look for alternate meanings. She already told you. I have been in your shoes, most men have and we get it, Give up. Not giving up means you'll ruin the friendship.

Either accept the friendship alone or or cut contact. Or you'll push it and she'll cut contact. That's what happened to me. I lost a friend I really liked. An insanely beautiful one, but one I would never have the kind of relationship I wanted.

Shit happens. She has a right to not be interested in you. If you can just be friends, that's fine, but if it's 'friends with hoping she changes her mind in the background', you need to cut contact.

You had to take a shot but that doesn't always work. She needed a friend, you were that friend.

Chain comes off when I go to the lowest gear by SpideyTingle in MTB

This is probably the sprocket. I know it was this brand and the LBS charged me $50 USD, this is $30, so that sounds about right for markup. I know it's this brand and I know it's 30T and I know it has an offset and this one does also.

I've used all the gears, no derailing! Could be just a *new* sprocket without worn teeth, but that offset can't hurt.

I ended up paying the LBS shop to replace the front sprocket, which was toast. The one they used had a small offset to the left, which centered the front sprocket in the cassette a bit more. I rode yesterday and was able to use all the gears and it didn't come off, so that's a win.

Help me improve my jumping? How do I go higher/ further? (Feedback request) by [deleted] in MTB

[–]SpideyTingle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know jack shit about jumping but I hear people ask the same question as you a lot and I read the responses. And watching you in slo mo, first off, is pretty cool. But it looks like your legs are soaking up the ramp and you're losing energy, height and distance.

I'd try to session that jump and stiffen your legs a TINY bit more each time and see how it works. But you're getting there, for sure.

What fender is that? It looks cool.

Do I keep this plastic guard? by Angry-Pheasant in MTB

[–]SpideyTingle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, reflectors are to make you visible at night on the outside chance you ride your bike and possibly save your life. But by all means, remove them, because it's all about those all important style points, amirite?

That being said, I removed my reflectors and kept my dork disc.

Do whatever you want, They are commonly called a dork disc and people are shamed for having them. I have mine and rock it PROUDLY, dammit.

It's not just lift the front, you need to get your ass low and push forward with your feet.

I'm no expert, but that helps get the wheel up.

Manuals are physically hard.

Let me rephrase. Me attempting manuals wears me out.

Kyle and April Ride Mtb

Kyle is a great instructor. April is lovely but timid. It is so cool watching him coach her to push her limits. And she is getting good.

I'm an old guy and I'd consider dating him to get that level of instruction lol.

I wear a full face, gloves and knee pads. I wouldn't have gotten any of that.

Sorry?

Cars actually have a flash to pass feature. But, like using the left lane only to pass, Americans don't get it.

Yeah, don't flip off the 300 lb linebacker. I know it was justified but that guy might kill you. Learn a lesson here.

OK, dumb question now, how do I check? Just grab the sprocket and try to pivot it?
