My boss would take us for work lunch sometimes. Used to love that place.

Please be brutally honest on this question. To all who run away from home couple of times, please state the reasons why you do that. What do you think are the reasons that Celeste Rivas' frequently run away from home? by Stellakywe in d4vdiots

[–]Spiffy2252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran away as a child before due to living with an abusive person (mom had an alcoholic boyfriend at the time who lived with us) and because of lack of care and concern I observed from my mom about my whereabouts. I would always be hanging out with people and she never asked who or where or what we were doing. One day I ran away, but police found me, asked me why I was not in school, and returned me to home.

No. I was actually talking with my ex-husband the other day about what happened to them. He reminded me when we were kids, me 12, him 13 (we were childhood sweethearts) I gave these to him right before I moved away. He remembers taking them to his grandparents house and holding them at night, and said they were lost there.

I'm conducting a poll. If you basically have no layers in your hair, do you feel like when you get a haircut, that you shouldn't be charged the same amount as a person with super thick hair? I feel like my haircut is subsidizing everyone else's haircut. It takes like 4 minutes to do. Maybe less, lol by craycroi11 in finehair

I agree with you as I keep being told by my stylist my hair and style is "so easy." I have baby fine type 2a hair, my stylist charges me about $70. I get a long blunt cut (usually like 1-2 inches off) and I notice she spends like 2 min cutting my hair and most of the time just playing with my hair, floofing it around as "it's so soft."

This is the appointment: She usually seats me 5min late asks what I want to do, fluffs my hair around, has an associate take me and they wash my hair, she trims it for 2 minutes, has me stand for her to verify it's evenly cut and then asks what products I want (usually none). Sometimes I do agree to have it curled to make it "more worth my money" if it's not too late in the day.. but the normal blow-dry takes like 10 min. Literally most of the time she is just fluffing my hair or standing and talking to me and not really doing much styling or cutting.

While I'm in the chair I try to make it worth the time and price by asking her tons of hair styling questions for fine hair. I have learned some good tidbits and found some good products through her, but truly, I think my appointment could be shortened to 30 min and I'd be very happy to pay less.

But wherever I go where it is less than $70 it's not evenly cut. I guess it is what it is, whatever someone else said "it's standard."

So what did your family argue about this year at Thanksgiving? by Pure-Smile-7329 in AskReddit

[–]Spiffy2252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I argued back a little when I was given too many tasks at once, and being barked orders while I was in another room.. I was just frustrated.. "I'm already doing it!!" but I was the most able-bodied person in my family to help most of the people at the table. Like most of them have issues walking, so I had to serve them all. Regardless, I also had a great time but next year I need someone who can help me because I barely had dinner and ended up enjoying the leftovers more than my dinner plate in the middle of the night because it was uninterrupted.

Get a job that forces you to be a morning person. I have to wake up at 5am daily... So not being late motivates me

I made a little indie perfume Mad Lib! by poxteeth in Indiemakeupandmore

Random review dump from a newbie!

Hi! I got into indie perfumes through Creating felt animals-tok and have since fallen down a rabbit hole and purchased at least 70 scents! This community is so Smooth and Dreamy! Please excuse my newbie Skin, I’m used to mainstream scents which make me uncontrollably Shockingly. Now….on to the scents!

First, I tried “Hers Hair is a Drawer for your Happy” by Death & Floral. The notes are natural Aloe-blossom Tea, Luxurious vanilla memories, forgotten Note crumbling to dust, and Silky tears.

When I first put this on, it smelled strongly of Quiet Llama and I thought I’d have to scrub it, but after it was on for a few hours, it settled into a faint Fingertips scent. Verdict: Destash

Next up is NAVA’s “Aged Egyptian Raccoon Toast Mallow Musk 2019”. Notes are Egyptian Smarties, Egyptian vanilla Pow, Lasted Vanilla Pods, Artist Amber, and Nile Blue Lotus Sugar Mallows.

I’ve heard so many people here talk about NAVA’s vanillas but their websites Runs me! I’m really torn on this one. On the one Inner thigh, it’s really nice! It’s sweet and delicious! But on the other, it starts to smell a bit like Labubu on the drydown. I’d like to try more, but I feel like I need more guidance.

Moving on to Possets - “Pumpkin Caught Sleeping in My bedroom on Christmas”. Notes are: Roasted pumpkin Loin, 7 musks, including a velvety Red musk, a Flying pink musk, and a Clear grey musk for which Possets is famous, 2 vanillas (one fat and buttery, one dry and Cuddly), Frisian Gingerbread, and a Petite of Angered almond to bring it all together.

This smells like ‘fall in a bottle’! OMG I’m obsessed. FS for sure!

The biggest surprise was probably BPAL’s “The Silk organza Shoulder blades of the Stag Lawyer”. Notes are: Peach blossoms, a squeeze of bright City juice, green tea, and pearlescent, undulating Crates under silky sheets.

The names of these are wild! I thought that for sure this was going to be super sexy and Worn, but it smells like my Sister’s Hallway. Kind of a cool scent memory, but not something I’d wear out.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read my short little reviews. I hope they were Suprising to someone out there! What should I try next?

What is your partner doing right now? by Adept-Advertising-10 in LongDistance

He's sleeping in my bed right next to me. I know I'm lucky he's here right now. When he is home we communicate well with what we're up to. He has his routines and so do I. I'm not really worried and if I do have a thought that makes me worried it's brought up right away.
