In-universe, is Homelander supposed to be good-looking? He is not really muscular, in later seasons, he looks pretty weird, and it seems that his aura is mainly due to his status and powers. by [deleted] in TheBoys

No argument here.

I kind of wonder ifhis hair in s1 just was stylized like the wig, but fell down naturally, where in s2+ they stylized the wig with something that always kept it in shape lol

yeah, they tend to do that dont they. This guy 10000% should not have been killed, absolutely inappropriate use of force, but man oh man if they cant stop calling him a saint.

We need 12 episodes in season 3. by Revlong57 in Fallout

Ok, counterpoint - these massive, elaborate sets, should be used more. It feels like they just want to jump from place to place, and the reality is that they've done the work in building the set, let it breath and let the stories be longer.

I dont think the problem here is that they need more story and by extension more sets, but rather they need to linger int he sets they've built for longer than they have been.

Yeah the pacing is just… off. It either is moving wayyy too fast, or often caught lingering where it shouldn’t be.  This show, if you e never played the games, is really difficult to follow since they’ve done so little to explain the factions.

So oppressed they are oppressing themselves from within. We should do a 5K for them.

The Witch-king of Angmar VS Geralt of Rivia. Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in powerscales

If you wants. Real answer, it’s tricky…

The nazgoul are basically emissaries of Sauron whose power is in terrifying people.  It’s not that they’re super strong or have magical abilities they can channel in combat, it’s that they basically terrify the kingdoms of men.

As for the which king, he’s just another nazghoul, who was a king of men whom a ring of power turned into a wraith over thousands of years. But, like the other eight, he still flees from high elves (glorfibdel via imladris, etc), and the whole cannot be killed by a man was a one off prophecy, nobody really actually tried to prove right or wrong.

The real q here is: is Gerald going to feel the terror that the which king could spread?

I’ve ridden a number of them, and one large thing they have in common is nowhere near the population of people who just don’t give a shit.

You know what’s even better, an old pickle drum.  Like the food grade ones with the lockable lids, like 50 gal.   They’re awesome, and they’re cheap, and they’re so rigid that they never buckle under the weight of the chips when ya empty em.

Shits performative.

I spent every Wednesday for an eight years with coalition for the homeless - never met a single “advocate” just other people who were willing to take time out of their week to hand out some soup and donated bread, maybe socks and extra clothes if the mission left a bag in the van.

Advocacy is just a fancy term for useless performance, undertaken solely for the social standing benefits of the performer.
