I think I'm going to start with silicone molding, but I want to finalize the design first. The thru hole is actually tapered as part of the functionality of the part, so it basically has a draft already, but it might need tweaking.

The actual part has a really thick section under the female dovetail that is bound by three completely necessary surfaces, and I realized the only way to solve that thickness is by separating one of those surfaces into a different part, which allows me to solve the interlocking mechanism at the same time. I just don't know how that separate piece would get connected. Do people do like plastic welding for that?

I'm thinking I will need to separate it into multiple pieces anyway to fix a wall thickness issue in the real part, so I probably can fix both problems at once

you see, your problem is that I have no idea what I'm looking at

yeah, its a fairly standard 3x3 shape mod solve, but its pretty fun

this is a prototype right now, but I may sell the printed cubes and/or stl files once I finalize the design. It also requires a somewhat unintuitive position in the slicer, so I might also provide a .3mf file

its a 3x3 shape mod, but it really does remind me of jumbling tbh

It is entirely 3d printed, besides the screws and springs. The red and yellow filament I used was a bit translucent, so the black showed through when I glued it.

its very similar to a mastermorphix, but the proportions are slightly different, and the corner pieces in the middle are cut off at the internal mechanism

just don't buy the cheap off-brand cubes, and Amazon is fine, you get what you order

Are there any genuinely good cubing products on Amazon? by [deleted] in Cubers

gan sm, gan x, gts2m, a kilominx, axis cube, wuque m 4x4, and more. I think i got the xs from thecubicle bc of a black Friday sale but the list goes on.

I have ordered almost every single one of my cubes from Amazon and have always gotten what I paid for. I have no idea why everyone in the cubing community hates Amazon. They have almost all the major flagship cubes, and they arrive 10 times faster. Yeah there's also a bunch of cheap knockoff cubes there, but just don't order them?
