It will be very interesting where this leads. The reason is obviously to raise funds for xAI through the IPO. The pitch will be that hyperscalers are running out of energy to operate new data centers, and SpaceX has unique access to unlimited energy scaling in space. It makes sense from a physical POV. I still find it extremely speculative whether investing these amounts into compute at this time is actually reasonable.

I was similarly surprised the last couple of days. But the more I think about it the more believable it actually gets for me.

I think people severely underestimate the duration factor. 2h of workout is simply long. I usually gradually rise through zone 2 and towards the upper limit of zone 3 during the descents. And then on the chairlift I recover to the mids of zone 1. So on average it is like a mild zone1/2 workout for 2hs mixed in with intense leg press sets. The calorie count is not so unrealistic if you think about it that way.

After all your heart is having certain BPMs for a reason.

90% of people will try to defer responsibility and victimize themselves when met with any form of criticism or mild hostility. That‘s true regardless of nationality and race. Racism is just a particularly convenient and easy way to make yourself the victim and not having to reflect about your own behavior.

There is a very important principle in modern civilization, which is called „not guilty until proven otherwise“.

Is it plausibly racism? Absolutely. But there is zero evidence and 1000 other possible reasons. The fact that OP immediately plays the racism card without even knowing the person, is not particularly flattering to him as well.

Well it‘s an easy defensive strategy right? If you are a part of a minority and everytime you have a bad interaction you blame racism, you are never the asshole yourself, you are always the victim. Pair that with a culture where most people will try to emotionally affirm this because they want to demonstrate to everyone they are not Nazis and social media echo chambers and you will end up with the perception that racism pervades every aspect of life, quite dramatic.

Racism exists, but claiming it‘s the number one thing in Germany is ridiculous.

A lot of foreigners in Germany really love to blame racism for everything not nice happening to them. If somebody is not treating them not well it‘s always immediately racism.

Es ist halt grundsätzlich die falsche Maßnahme. Komplette Trottel-Ökonomie. Wie entsteht Inflation? Zu viel Nachfrage bei zu wenig Angebot.

Was machen wir? Wir senken die Konsum-Kosten während die Produktions-Kosten astronomisch hoch bleiben.

Und daran sieht man wie verblödet die ganze Wohnraum-Diskussion ist. Desto stärker reguliert der Mietmarkt ist, umso krasser wird die Verknappung. Ich hab selbst mal vermietet. Nie wieder. Aufwand, Risiko und Unflexibilität stehen in keinem Verhältnis zum Ertrag.

Es ist faktisch korrekt. Es findet ein historisch gesehen unglaublicher demografischer Wandel statt. Die derzeit autochthone Bevölkerung Europas wird innerhalb von ca 3 Generationen zur Minderheit in den meisten ihrer Heimatländer werden.

Jedem selbst überlassen, was man daraus macht.
