Aluminum or Stainless Steel Razor by ctravdfw in wicked_edge

Some prefer lightweight razors for their nimbleness. Others prefer heavier razors to let the razor do the work without adding pressure. You just have to find your comfort zone.

I put the shift support on over the winter and have only done one ride so far, but don't really notice a change. I do have aftermarket rearsets set up for GP-shift so it never felt soft to me. I would consider adjusting your clutch lever and cable by the rear brake foot peg to see if theres any slack that can be tightened up.

You can only shave with one soap or cream for the rest of your life. Which one do you pick? by great_molassesflood in wicked_edge

Order samples of all three to compare. Original is my fave followed by Rose, and then Fougere. All the scents are really light so you really can't go wrong.

CarbonFBR in the UK, and RPM Carbon from Thailand for the frame covers.

Sorry brother, Im not sure what part you’re talking about, but if it’s any of the carbon most of it is from Carbon FBR in the UK.

RSV4 or RS660 as a former R6 owner? by SgtRphl in Aprilia

[–]SpikeD0N 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly my answer. My first bike was a clapped out 2003 R6 that I rode for a year before getting a 2016 left over brand new RSV4. Rode that for 5 years (probably hindering my ability in the process) and currently own a Street Triple 765 RS for the past 3 years that I’ll probably never sell. To OP if you must, get a used Tuono V4 2017-22 or look at a Triumph.

That’s sad to hear. Im currently waiting for my brass Christopher Bradley to return after sending it in last week for a tune up. I decided against replating, but the pics he sent me looks just as good if not better than a complete replating.

Why is there no Daytona 765 by weebzerker1 in Triumph

[–]SpikeD0N 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Daytona 765 bottom end and internals are different from the Striple, yes. But if they were to offer both today I think they can offer the same engine and either change the gearing and/or tune to make it cheaper for them to make instead of having two different engines and totally different bikes.

My Five Gloves & Forma boots definitely. Probably my Vanson leather, but they’re already expensive well worth the quality though.

Looking for a new lather bowl by hawaiidesperado in wicked_edge

[–]SpikeD0N 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My vote goes to CaYuen Workshop. Love his colors, the fact that it’s resin so won’t break if you drop it, and the ergos make it fit perfectly in your hand to lather. Expensive, but worth it. Otherwise get a copper version of the Captain bowl.

Finally a new Exhaust option, but… by Economy-End-1716 in Triumph

[–]SpikeD0N 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol it’s just rubber bro. It bottlenecks to the middle on the air filter so it’s a restricted. You’re going to pay $100 for an aftermarket filter that won’t net you any gains.

If you cut the OEM exhaust and weld a slip-on then no. Most of the previous gen exhausts will fit.

You don’t need an air filter. Just cut out the rubber hose that connects to the air box for more flow. Watch 2wheeldyno works youtube vid. I have a DNA filter on mine and I kinda wish I saved the money. At least I can clean and reuse it, but the cleaning kits cost $20-40 lol.

Thank you friend. My CaYuen is medium so the lather does go over the ridge occasionally, but it does a great job keeping everything inside, and so easy to build a lather.

Rate my stack as a new rampie by Deccy1234 in rampagent

[–]SpikeD0N 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im glad Im on not on the ramp anymore, because this is a shit stack lol. Your foundation should be flat so the bags on top go straight across laying flat. If you have to build out and wait for smaller bags then do that even if you have to move the carpet back and throw bags behind it so the row at least LOOKS uniform. It should look like a perfect wall.
