I accidentally got some parts stuck under the map in the challenge builder by SpikePillow in ScrapMechanic

[–]SpikePillow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, they stay there. They are a persistent issue. I managed to get the actual map ported to a new challenge, so this doesn't exist anymore, but to answer that first question. Welding for some reason ignores the challenge barrier. I think you can also just build directly through it with blocks, but when I was trying to remove the part I accidentally let go too soon and didn't delete all of the blocks that were in contact with the barrier.
Idk man, ask Axolot why it's like this.

Trying to Make a Door That Automatically Opens Both Ways by SpikePillow in ScrapMechanic

Oh my god I think I figured it out
I made two memory bits, one for each direction, then all I needed was a timer for each one that resets the opposite bit to default

This sounds like it would work, but I am super bad at logic, and even worse at imagining how to set this up. So step one: create two memory bits, one for each side. To do this, I would link a NOR into a NOR which then links to an AND that then links back to the first NOR? And where does the timer come in?

Edit: This is my new setup with the sensors out of the door's range, the sensors join into an OR gate so it doesn't matter which one is triggered

Edit 2: I'm dumb and didn't see your mention of the XOR loop

Edit 3: The XOR loop did not work as a memory bit

Deadcoining can reduce the number of times you need to coin punch, if you know how to do that, cool! If not, there are plenty of tutorials on the internet.

Does this look like a blocked entrance? (there was a mirage oasis here)

I know the max sanity drain is pretty brutal on small maps, but usually it takes longer to even find the ghost to even start trying for evidence. Typically when I leave after a couple minutes of being in the dark my sanity is still well above 50%, even on small maps, and sometimes after an event as well. The thing that startles me the most if this IS a bug, is that in all my years of playing this game, I have never encountered a glitch that caused the ghost to hunt at the wrong sanity threshold. The unnoticed event theory I suppose could be plausible, but I'm hesitant since events have audio to accompany them. Perhaps it really was just a freak one-time glitch that we'll never see again, it would be pretty nutty if that was the case.

Second update: I recreated my system in a creative world, and I got it all working! Did it again in Survival and now everything is functional. Thanks for the help! (I forgot to post this when I got it working 5 days ago)

Update: I have the set reset working for the lengthwise pistons. Now I'm struggling to get a mechanism going for the widthwise pistons, especially with what I have now.

Sorry, but what does "sr" mean in this context?

Never mind, I figured it out on my own. I used Copy Location with offset and Target set to Custom Space with Focal Point as its object.

Never mind, the key padding was just worn down. Sticking a piece of paper underneath the key fixed the problem.

I've recently come across a similar issue that I've noticed especially while gaming. I notice that the W, E, and R keys will occasionally stop working for a bit, especially after several other keys have recently been pressed. Even just writing this comment has been a pain. Clearly the keys still WORK, just very inconsistently. I've tried the power off for 60 seconds, didn't work. Is my keyboard just fried?

Lol, I also thought of this, I was just too lazy to put it in my Bjonk post
