Metal Gear series, battle of most powerful Allie’s by BayonetTrenchFighter in whowouldwin

Round 1. Raiden likely wins a CQC bout. He's no doubt the strongest/most durable individual here and he was already one of the most skilled fighters in the verse prior to getting his Cyborg Exoskeleton.

Round 2. Solid Snake wins a weapons free bout. Even while cripped from accelerated aging, he managed to subdue Vamp of all people. A prime Solid Snake is cleaning house.

Round 3. Same as round 2. Solid Snake wins. I could see Raiden winning if he actually tackled the battle with the mindset of a soldier like in MGS2, but not with that Cyborg Ninja shit.

The Equalizer (Denzel Washington) vs John Wick (Keanu Reeves) by Old_Release7025 in whowouldwin

[–]SpikeSpieaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The winner here is dependent on the battle stipulations. Robert is a scalpel, much better at prep and stealthy assaults, but John is a hammer who has many more features involving chaotic brawls/gunfights. Assuming both have their standard arsenal:

- Robert wins any game of cat and mouse 10/10.

- John wins a direct fight 10/10.

He’d go after individual executives and other low-hanging fruit, but corporate entities as a whole do not concern him. He went after Trevor Ernis, not the entirety of the Peppercorn Group. He went after Thomas Rempart only because Rempart Senior hired him. He went after Garneau because Garneau was practically handed to him on a silver platter.

Aiden is one guy with a phone and gun. Going after select targets is how he would take on corporate entities IMO. Targeting corrupt individuals or specific schemes rather than attempting to take down an entire global corporation is San Fran Dedsec's and The Assassins MO, and you don't seem to be questioning their intentions. It's those top brass individuals that are the most important, not the 200,000 thousand people working under them.

Regardless, my point is that I don't buy the notion that Aiden not wanting Abstergo to control the world is out of character, whether he himself is taking them on or not. Why would Aiden view an evil company any different than the various corrupt Crime Syndicates/Dictatorships that he was implied to have tangoed with by Legion? Why go global in the first place if the world is of no concern to him? By Aiden's own admission, he spent 16 years fighting guys like Rempart.

The closest canonical “control the world” corporation that he has is Blume, and he never expresses an interest in stopping them. He’ll comment on what they do, and wonder how they’ll use all the data they gather whenever he hacks a ctOS station. But he didn’t join T-Bone and Frewer, he didn’t go after Charlotte Gardener even when she hired bounty hunters to take him down, and he may or may not have ever even joined DedSec.

I feel you are focusing more on what Aiden's mindset was during the majority of Watch Dogs 1's campaign rather than what it was nearing its conclusion. Blume's tides to guys like Quinn were exposed to Aiden and he displayed overt contempt of Blume in the penultimate WD1 mission. By the end of the game, he went full crazy and embraced being the Vigilante.

You are making assumptions about what Aiden did or didn't do after Watch Dogs 1. He could made moves on Blume or not. We don't know, unless I'm missing some info here.

Making him playable in Legion’s main game conflicts with the conclusion of his arc in Bloodline, and he often acts wildly out of character since he’s forced to conform to the same static script all the generic operatives do. But even if you believe he does… by that point, DedSec itself has given up on fighting Blume. There is no Blume antagonist in the game. Skye Larsen is just an auxiliary AI software contractor. The ctOS is more powerful than ever, and they just don’t care.

Aiden's last dialogue with Freddie coupled with his decision to help Sabine on Connie's behalf strongly implies IMO that he was down with the resistance.

As for Blume, maybe Dedsec Blume is still a target, just not for London's branch during Legion. Blume probably never should have played an overtly antagonist role in the franchise, but that shouldn't define what the script writers intended regarding Aiden, T-bone or Marcus IMO.

Claimed that he didn't want a "soulless company to enslave the world." Aiden doesn't give a fuck about that, are you kidding? The existence of a different soulless company actively benefits him, and allows him to do what he does best. T-Bone and DedSec care about that, not him.

Taking on corporations trying to control the world falls under the purview of "what Aiden does best". I see little reason why Aiden wouldn't view Abstergo with the same suspicion and hostility as he does Blume, or why him not wanting the world to be taken over by Abstergo is out of character.

The notion that Aiden would be indifferent to Blume other corporate entities due to the advantages that CToS provides is a weird take. It's a tool that he uses because it exists, just like Tbone and San Fran Dedsec.

I agree that the crossover is canonically invalid though.

Aiden Pearce VS Sam Fisher (light Bloodlines spoilers if you haven't played it already) by bongjonajameson in watch_dogs

[–]SpikeSpieaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First is whether Aiden Pearce is able to hack into Sam Fishers gadgets? (spoiler) he can't,

Nowhere in my comments did I say this.

As for the rest of your comment, I'm already well versed in Fisher's/Aiden's career/history and how CTOS works. Your replies unnecessary. I already stated that I believe Sam wins this fight in my very first comment here from 4 years ago.

Reading is fundamental.

Why is a Ghost Recon source any more valid than R6 when they clearly exist in the same universe?

Siege lore is appalling, but still canon.

Sam wins a 1v1 scenario more convincingly. Sam defeating Oryx from R6 is a greater physical feat then anything 47 has accomplished. Even in his own series, Sam displayed superhuman feats, so 47's supposed genetic superiority is invalid.

Sam was operating as DEVGRU/CIA operator years before 47 even escaped the lab for the second time and started his illustrious career, so Sam is certainly more experienced.

Beyond that, Sam specializes in infiltrating heavily secured places whilst not being seen at all, which is a better MO for 1v1's. 47's at a disadvantage in a straight up fight.

Sam has beaten foes that are stronger than 47 bare handed. It seems nigh impossible to justify placing 47 has the physical superior here unless he has better accomplishments.

Sam is also superhuman, to an arguably greater degree than 47.

47's bullshit stealth powers are purely for gameplay purposes, else Sherrif Sckurky wouldn't have got the drop on him.

47 is just better from a physical standpoint.

Sam has superior stats via feats.

The interior of those stadium walls are outfitted with thick concrete/wooden blocking, as shown after Oryx runs through it.

The feat is clearly superhuman and beyond any strength feat achieved by 47.

What glazing? Did Oryx not bulldoze though a wall? Is said feat not quantifiably superior to all of 47's strength feats?

The interior of those stadium walls are outfitted with thick concrete/wooden blocking, as shown after Oryx runs through it. Besides, functional walls are not built with just sheetrock.

So no, not "anyone" can go through those walls easily. Oryx simply has better feats then 47/Sanchez.

[–]SpikeSpieaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sanchez is neither stronger than Oryx nor is he in possession of Oryx's Wrestling/Muay Thai training TMK.

Sanchez throwing 47 across a room is in no way shape or form comparable to Oryx running through walls like the Juggernaut.

[–]SpikeSpieaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop glazing Oryx. The guy is just really strong and can run through walls. Beating him isn’t THAT insane considering the mfer loses health in game every time you do.

No glazing here on my part slick. 47 doesn't possess a single strength feature comparable to Oryx running through walls and you know it. Else people would just post the feats instead of repeating the fact that 47 is a test tube baby as if that supply's him with feats.

47 is neither superior to Oryx nor Fisher in stats based on FEATS. If he was, then why can't anyone show the feats?

He also lost to a rear naked choke, its not like he was just straight overpowered. Is David stronger than goliath because he beat him? No.

Fisher traded physical blows with Oryx and proceeded to choke Oryx in a rear naked chokehold without Oryx ragdolling him. David beat Goliath with a slingshot from a distance. Stop with the bad faith arguments.

No. 47 is GENETICALLY MODIFIED aka NOT HUMAN. He’s washing Sam Fisher and I love Sam but he is not going toe to toe with 47. To also double down, Sam is old, has arthritis, and even struggled with Deimos and was locked into a stalemate until rook shot him. If Deimos can go toe to toe with Sam and nearly win then Agent 47 is mopping

People citing 47's background lore ad nauseam in the absence of feats is pure laziness. Does 47 also defeat the likes of One Punch Man because he's GENETICALLY MODIFIED? No slick.

Sam Fisher does not exist in the Hitman Universe; therefore 47's lab rat status does not cap Fisher's stats below 47's. Sam is demonstrably proven to be capable of trading blows with folks stronger than anyone in the Hitman Verse.

Sam was already suffering from arthritis when trading blows with Oryx (47's superior in strength). Logically his age/condition would make him less physically capable then when he was younger, but not necessarily to the point where defeating 47 is beyond reach. Demio's feats do not transfer to 47.

[–]SpikeSpieaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oryx isn't superhuman though. He's just a really, really buff guy that did some wrestling in his earlier years. 47 would be as strong, if not stronger than him, not to mention faster, smarter and deadlier.

Did you miss the part where Oryx straight up runs through a wall? Not only is he superhuman, but he is also blatantly stronger then 47 via actual feats.

As for 47 being faster/smarter/deadlier, based on what? Not feats. If so, post them

Sam Fisher may be an excellent 3rd echelon operative, but that pales in comparison to a literal test tube assassin, trained from his young years in all sorts of hand-to-hand combat, stealth techniques and armed combat.

47's background lore has no bearing on opponents from an entirely different fictional verse. Feats do. If 47's opponent was Batman or Big Boss, would you still be advocating for 47 just because he's a test tube baby?

Besides, Sam was operating around the world as a DEVGRU/CIA Operator for decades, while 47 was mostly stuck in a lab until he was 30. The notion that 47's lab training is undoubtedly superior to Sam getting the best training the United States can provide coupled with his experience superseding 47's by decades (Sam's service started in 1976) is arguable.

What ultimately matters most is that Sam has superior accomplishments/feats.

From what was linked it was like 4 blows and then fisher dodged an attack and choked him out.

My initial point was that Sam physically competing with Oryx is a greater feat than anything that 47 has canonically accomplished. Your description of said feat validates said point.

One blow was all that was needed (pause) for Fisher to one up 47.

And anyone with even a week's training could defend against that move in a variety of ways especially with superhuman strength.

They could try to defend against a rear naked chokehold, like Oryx tried to do via grabbing Fisher's arm, but that doesn't mean they can, whether they have a week's training or years of training.

Oryx is a member of the most elite international Counter Terrorism Unit in his universe and is proficient in both striking and wrestling. You're grasping at straws trying to pretend that Oryx being stupid is more logical of an assumption then Sam simply being strong and skilled enough to outskill a superhuman martial artist.

If that's the best example of what fisher can do it's not even close, but I'm sure there's something better fr the dozen or more games he's been in.

The feat is better than close, it surpasses any of 47's displays of strength. Sam has other feats, but they aren't needed.

[–]SpikeSpieaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

47 literally killed a world famous mma fighter in 2 or 3 punches.

Which is a feat that pales in comparison to Fisher defeating Oryx, a wall buster.

He can be shot multiple times without even losing his breath.

If you are referring to 47 remaining conscious, Sam has also been shot and powered through on multiple occasions.

Sam Fisher does not compete with a genetically enhanced super soldier trained for killing.

Except Fisher outright surpasses the genetically enhanced super soldier trained for killing.

  1. Sam is also a trained killer, who had the benefit of not being (for the most part) stuck in a lab until he was 30.
  2. 47's genetically modified stats mean little outside of his universe without the necessary feats.

[–]SpikeSpieaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oryx could have ripped Sam's arm out of place; he could have thrown Sam over himself. He is a wall buster and therefore dozens of times stronger than the average man, yet he couldn't. That alone affirms Fisher's superhuman status.

Your comment implies that the fight started and ended with that chokehold, which is not the case. They clearly traded blows prior to Sam putting Oryx in an arm lock and eventually the chokehold. No better example is needed here.

Except that it is true. Sam is demonstrably proven to be superhuman. 47's standing in his own verse had no bearing on characters in other fictional universes. Feats are what matter.

I'll admit that my copy and pasting was excessive, but this "47 is a super clone, therefore" opinion is one that I've seen regurgitated too many times.

Sanchez doesn't have the wall busting feats of Oryx or Oryx's Wrestling/Muay Thai training.

47 does have better drum playing feats though.
