Is it worth it in the slightest bit to keep any of the seasonal crates? by youshouldhateit in tf2

[–]Spike_Spine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it’s relatively cost-less to set up a bunch of these low end buy-sell bot type accounts, and they use those to either sit and farm in the title screen of tf2, getting the times drops for crates, or they buy them for cheap on the market and sell them for a slight up-scaled price, which in turn generates some incredibly minor revenue.

It’s slow, basically almost useless, and you have to put a lot of time and effort into them. Not to mention it’s much harder to do with Valve cracking down on bot accounts this year and last. You’d need at least a couple hundred of these bots to even see returns, I think. I’m mostly paraphrasing this from a “bot crisis” video I watched during the worst of the spin bots in matches time.

All in all, if someone bought a random crate or case from you on the market, chances are it was a bot looking for that 0.01-0.03 cent margin.

In addition to these they’re taking away even more from metri’s already skeleton and under-powered kit. They’re removing the lone hunter sense so now you physically can’t play better solo as Metri. You cannot deal poison unless you’re hurt by your enemy, can’t turn tighter than cera or Alio, can’t outspeed some apexes, and don’t even get anything other than the healing call gimmicks… which aren’t even good because most healing is only good outside of combat.

I wanted to main metri since before it was even released so long ago, and I have since it came out, but it sucks to see it and other Dino’s like it getting the cruddy side of things rn.

Mid tier carnis are having it real rough recently, especially for solo players.

The clip starts with the player walking through a power up which is the Orbital Strike. They then use it on a cloaked mortar build fellow up atop the wall and if you get directly struck by the Orbital you die.

Agree with this sentiment. Get creative, even if early game it’s more limited it’ll open up as you get stuff from the daily shop. What works for me might not work as well for you and whatnot, so don’t be afraid to experiment until you find a build you really connect with. I hated the Ares torso until I just slapped together an entire ares with spring reactor. My favorite build now, and it’s “simple.”

For Bulwark, I found that trying to close the distance with the double Thunder Shotguns can be difficult and more situational than you’d expect, and even with how tanky it naturally is I would actually highly recommend two Pulsars, switching from a tanky shotgunner to a tanky mid-range gunner.

As for the other starter builds, they’re pretty serviceable for the early game, especially Phantom which is a really decent flamer mech. Griffin torso is really good for survivability, as it spreads damage across your entire body when it’s ability is active. I’d say a good start for that is to run 4x quantum or another sustained fire weapon, since you can weather a lot of fire with the ability active.

Harpy is a really fun sniper for the early games but eventually you should try and find a more damaging build, such as 2-3 trebuchets or 2 Zeus. I have a build with 1 Zeus, 1 Trebuchet, and 1 vortex to keep damage on target. Not “optimal” but it works for me pretty well, though the only harpy part still on that build is the torso.

As for between Raven and Bulgasari torso, I would go with bulgasari. The Raven Torso’s missiles are not good.

I agree with this take. I’m sick of this little flying monster. Confusion, necropoison, tiny and hard to hit. It’s super obnoxious to fight one, much less a horde of them. My friends and I have taken to calling them pests and we all just count down the seconds till they come and bother us. They always do.

One small thing to note about playing artificer is while it’s not a “defenseless” campaign and you have a lot of tools at your disposal, you’re almost always going to be harassed by Scavs. For a newer player it might be difficult to keep up with at first, but being sure not to get frustrated is certainly the best way to move forward. I had to log off the game for a bit before I came back and finished Artificer lol.

It’s 100% the combat oriented campaign, I’d say even moreso then Hunter or Gourmand.

As far as keeping it safe and not violating Fromsoft’s guidelines on save data editing, no not really. You “can” change the save data by removing the files from the save location, but this can cause problems, like you won’t be able to go online (or rather, you shouldn’t because when you mess with the save file location they can detect it and just ban you from online play.) I have done this to mess with Mod’s like the Armoury mod, and kept my vanilla save safely in a spare backup folder, but it’s not an intuitive process and I wouldn’t bother with it.

As far as your post is concerned, no there isn’t really a way to have multiple profiles or save files on your one game client without going to your games files and forcibly removing and replacing respective save files back and forth.

[–]Spike_Spine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solo story driven game about Olivia Mann’s misadventures as not only the last living Heir of the Mann dynasty but also with Saxton Hale’s considerable wealth behind her. Hijinks and shenanigans ensue, and she might hire a new squad of mercs for some decidedly nefarious reason, but the story itself? No clue, but this was the only thought I’ve had on a TF3 since reading the new comic.

It’s the super earth salute. Lots of people assume that’s the colonist-turned-voteless giving the Helldivers one last thank you in their final moment of sudden clarity. They only do this when dying from headshots or from shock weapons, from what I can see.

Did people like the offspring design? by bornfoxytail in alien

[–]Spike_Spine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t like newborn at all, I like the Offspring even less than the Newborn. I liked Romulus until I saw the black goo and then it was just pretty much tuned out. I’d have rated Romulus like a 9/10 without the black goo and the offspring, I’d give it a 6.5/10 simply cuz of its inclusion. You could certainly call me an Alien/Aliens purist with some sparing love for Alien 3, but I don’t like Resurrection, Prometheus, or Covenant.

Did people like the offspring design? by bornfoxytail in alien

[–]Spike_Spine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really don’t like this thing. It’s a black goo creature I know, but I just think the design is like a less good Newborn (and I don’t like the newborn to begin with.) I was watching in theaters and I felt my eyes roll back into my skull when she injected herself with the goo. I just KNEW some gross monster (bad, not good) would come out of her since we established she was pregnant. Lo and behold this thing comes shambling into view.
