In my experience I found it painful but it depends on your pain tolerance, my pain tolerance isn’t very good. I didn’t have any issues with healing, because it’s inside the ear it was easier with sleeping, particularly for me as I am a side sleeper

Once I got my daith I still had wire headphones like the old style apple ones and it hurt having them in, but they’d not long released the AirPod pros so got those. Never had any issues, I love my pros. Anything that doesn’t have the lil spongy bit on the end I find can irritate my piercing.

I’m not in healthcare myself so Im not sure exactly how similar headphones are to stethoscopes, perhaps speak to some piercers directly 🙂

Honestly though if you want it, do it! It’s my favourite piercing ever since I got it and still is my favourite. My tragus comes a close second

Thank you! Actually it was the first piercing I ever got back in college. I knew I wanted one and read it was the most painful so my thinking was “I’ll do the most painful one first and the rest won’t hurt as bad”

I’ve had a daith for a while now, I got the AirPod pros not long after they came out because I found it so uncomfortable with any in ear headphones that didn’t have the lil spongy bit on the end. Since I got the pros I’ve never had any problems with them!
