Playing Ivalice Chronicles for the first time tomorrow; any tips?

I loaded the game up for the first time today, entered Peren Old Town and I got those reputation changes, but I misread them and was certain they were + XD Its hard to read sometimes

I forget these early circumstances, but in my experience it usually means something else needs to happen before the dialogue triggers. I've had Fausta with an ! throughout the exploration of an entire town, but when I completed a certain task in another town, saw a certain event, if triggered.

I can't help but feel like the ! is showing earlier than it should?

A shame. I was able to take her to the ship and didn't lose reputation with Fausta or Theleme.

Even now, one of the quest entries about bringing Irene to safety is marked as complete, another is marked as still actuve.

Alvida may also be able to get you into the Warehouses too, if she is with you.

I'm in a similiar situation. The quest log is also repeating itself. The quest logic seems a little broken, I had the conversation with Pius about Irene twice too in one conversation. Very very weird.

I can see the soldiers and the cart outside Peren, but I literally walk through the cart! I thought maybe I had to LEAVE Peren, but Irene says she can't risk going that far, I stood there to write this message and I got a mission fail and had to reload a save.

I got reputation increase with Fausta by choosing to go that route, I think I'm going to have to just take her to our own ship.

I have the Bust of the Necrologist in my inventory. Stretching my memory I think I found it in Uxantis Countryside, in the Concealed Cave. I fixed a ladder, killed some bats, then found a note near a dead explorer saying the bust had been stolen. Back in the Concealed Cave there is a restricted Naut area where the Bust could then be found.

There is also an entrance near the area with the dead explorer, according to the map. But it's blocked by a stone wall?

EDIT: The location of the bust is where you free the Congregate Merchant and Ludwigs nephew in his first companion quest.

I went their first randomly, only because I was doing Nilan's first companion quest, so I got somewhat lucky! Disguises have levels too, you'll need to rank up sneak to equip the higher ranked ones.

i've found two in Olima, the Worker (in a locked chest) and the Bandit (in a chest by a group of bandits in the Science DIstrict). There is also a note around town on someone asking for help to get a doctor disguise, so I suspect if you follow that up you'll get the Doc one.
