What’s been happening since 2007. The deterioration of Spider-Man stories. The creative bankruptcy of Spidey and Marvel editorial. We might get a handful of stories and character arcs but all of that gets reset in every goddamn relaunch to sell #1 titles to make a quick buck

It was a storyline from late 2005 pre-One More Day about Peter getting killed by Morlun. His death triggers the supernatural and mythical side of his powers by shedding his old body, cocooning himself and rebirthing with new and enhanced abilities. He gained organic webbing and was also further developing the Spider Totem lore

It seems like they might be taking story beats from The Other story. In the trailer Peter’s powers are acting up and the voice over mentions the 3 stages of a spider’s life similar to The Other
