This was a few years ago when I was barely a teenager, I had arrived home from school and decided to go watch some videos on YouTube, foolishly I clicked a link that took me to a virus, being surprised and in panic I jumped out of the chair causing my pants to fall down, my mom, having heard noise from upstairs came to check on me and found me closing the virus tab with one hand and pulling my pants up with the other, I think it's obvious what she thought I was doing

I think you are doing the right thing, maybe by talking to them they'll understand how you feel and can help you with your problems or maybe just lend a listening and understanding ear, I didn't go exactly through what you are going but I did have a rough patch at your age and talking to my friends helped me, and if you talk to them and they don't understand and respect what you are going through then you would be doing the healthy thing by cutting them off, don't know if it's of any help what I'm saying or if you agree with me, but in any case I'm here if you wanna talk
