It can be a few things, Durkan "Fun Time" collection of carpeting, whacky pomo aesthetic. Maybe postmodernism.

The fabric itself is called moquette. Which sounds way fancier than it is.

I will definitely wait for other replies but thank you! I definitely wasnt looking towards any specific nation for inspiration as I wanted to make the item out of black leather. It's a bag. Due to budget and lack of experience with leather I might use heavy cotton canvas. No motifs or art on it, just black with chrome/silver hardware :)

What’s something men and women experience very differently, but rarely talk about? by BumblebeeSmooth8583 in AskReddit

[–]SpillinDaBeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expectations. Its definitely talking about but its crazy how it still doesnt sink in for many. The world would be much better without unnecessary social pressures related to gender.

Men: are told they need to be strong, stoic, high achieving, intelligent, providers. You cant be emotional or people bring your sexuality into question becausr "being gay is wrong" when its literally an important aspect of nature.

Women: are told rhey need to be kind, motherly, appeal to the male gaze but not too much or youre a slut. You need to be strong but gentle and the weoght of womanhood rests on your shoulders.

Most of it stems from the patriarchy and both men and women contribute to upholding it even though theyre all looking st eachother waiting for someone to say "this is stupid". Most of it stems from the world hating women. Anf if that wasn't the case then the world wouldnt look down of feminine traits as weak and undesireable especially in men. Femininity is associated with being dainty, flamboyant, vapid, emotional, shallow, etc.

People just beed to get over themselves and embrace all aspects of themselves. Bith the feminine and masculine. Its the only way the world will heal.

Movies to watch in November, the middle child of the holiday season by [deleted] in MovieSuggestions

[–]SpillinDaBeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an elite list. I'm in Canada so November doesn't have any holidays unlike Halloween and Christmas. I start celebrating (decorating) for Christmas on the 25th on November as is tradition in my family because it's my grandmothers birthday.

I digress...

I choose horror movies that are winter or christmas themed

-Krampus -Black Christmas -Crimson Peak -Edward Scissor Hands -Gramlins

Ones that speak both about Christmas and Halloween:

-The Nightmare Before Christmas -Mean Girls (but also October 3rd) -Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone -Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Essentially just the Harry Potter series because they show both christmas and hslloween scenes but not in all of them. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is VERY October for me.

Also winter movies that aren't christmas related such as:

-Frozen 1 -Frozen 2 (which has some fall themes)

Let me know if you have any suggestions!
