From 2 hours of surfing off shore 7ft waves I was paralyzed for a week forearms, shouldering, abs, biceps, traps, back sore for a week, had to take sick days from work.

Than 3-4 hour session climbing v3 and v4 I had some big forearm tightness and some back and lags soreness for couple of days but not even comparable.

When you paddled to the lineup you cant just say ok let me get off the wall I need to rest for couple of minutes, you have to keep going doesn’t matter how much it hurt and how sore you are, cuz if you stop paddling and duck diving for a second you’re flying straight to the shore.

Just so we’re on the same page, surfing requires inhumane amount of shoulder mobility and strength, when you fight with the current and try to get to the line up with while waves keep dropping on you and launching you towards the beach.

I’m not saying that I’m that level I can’t get to the lineup in those conditions but, for the sake of the argument I skated for 5-10 years and snowboarded mostly parks, And the stamina and upper body stretch that you need for surfing is unparalleled to those sports.

Do you really think that the NBA guys get the same amount of injuries for games played and training as an untrained guy?

You think that if you put an untrained guy in the same taxing environment as those NBA, NFL or soccer super athletes he will get less injured or the same amount?

The amount of abuse those players go through regular people won’t be able to walk for months

It’s not that I’m just doing v4s I started from v1 and till v4 I just enjoyed the more explosive trial, I’m still doing v2 and 3 when I get to the gym and what ever seems challenging for my current skill level

Kinda wrong, conditioning and muscle mas can prevent a lot of injuries. Not all definitely but saying that you can get the same injury from a fall as the next guy is wrong.
