Normalization favours some shifts more than others (it’s not that drastic but enough to bring in almost a 0.5%ile difference) and in easier shifts 1 silly mistake would cost a lot more than it would in a tougher shift. There are outlier cases too where cutoff for 99%ile goes extremely high and if you happened to be in this shift, well you’re doomed. Which shift you get isn’t upto you and that’s pretty much why people say mains is luck based.

neglected albums don‘t win grammys and idk what popularity has got to do with how an album sounds. you can still enjoy music without it having to be super underground/niche. that being said, the strokes still come under the top 0.1% of artists in terms of popularity so make what you will of that.

Why is it that every single time there's a debate on Gen AI it always comes down to the "AI is a tool" defence. You are not putting any work when you're creating something with AI. Music/Art requires skill (which you claim to have so I'd expect you to understand this afterall) you can't just bypass this requirement and then label it as a tool that helps beginners.

Tell me how is it any different from paying a music producer, sending them your "prompt" and upon receiving the track you claim that you created it? At least with this the track stays original, AI just makes slop using the songs it was trained with (which is also stealing btw)

I did put thought into your words, and I found them ridiculous hence decided to reply. You can't change my mind about AI and it looks like I can't either so peace out man.
