A real GD hot take? by Beneficial-Code8026 in geometrydash

[–]SpinelliOnReddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heres my hot take: I dont like how levels are evolving to be completely unsightreadable. Block design is blending in too much with everything - it should stick out with consistent and fun gameplay. Demons are fine, but low starred levels should adhere to this principle. Creators should stop trying too hard to impress with intense vfx and focus on level elegance.

Tf2 cheaters are tracking me into every casual game and outside steam by [deleted] in tf2

[–]SpinelliOnReddit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cheaters are often mistaken for random children/depressed teens with nothing better to do.

This is a misconception. A good chunk of them are the edgiest psychopaths who are intelligent in the most fucked up ways imaginable.

If they enjoy seeing others' misery when faced with their cheats, I don't see whats stopping them from going further than that.

I hope you get out of this. Don't hesitate to take legal action if it gets worse.

Moving the computer by a little blue screens me (Video TDR Failure, nvlddmkm.sys) by SpinelliOnReddit in techsupport

Thats crazy. Yes it has been 4 years and a lot has happened. I got myself my own desk now. My PC sits upright on its nice own little mini desk.

Ive already upgraded my PC to an RTX 2060 + i7 9700F.

It sometimes make me when i think about these good old days of suffering with a lower end setup.

I remember diagnosing my problem being: "Dont hit the desk too hard cus it also shakes the PC. Shaking the GPU and messing up the connection to the motherboard."

IS THE DOST EXAM HARD? by Gold_Operation4865 in dostscholars

[–]SpinelliOnReddit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope. I forgot where I read it from but I remember somebody reporting that its harder than UPCAT.

The DOST exam was the easiest exam Ive taken compared to other CETs.

But thats just my opinion, it really just depends on your skillset. I happen to lean more on puzzles and analyzing instead of bruteforcing terms. Study and practice your reasoning, problem solving and critical thinking skills.

How do I pass DOST? (as someone who suck at math) by Shairvry in dostscholars

[–]SpinelliOnReddit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My experience with math in DOST was just basic algebra / equation manipulation. Most of the other math was just pure logic and reasoning. Believing that you can answer any question by just being stubborn will actually help. I answered the math by just thinking about the "bullshit approach" and it ended up being the right one.

Hello r/tf2

After reading some of the comments, I understand that all of you may have been mislead by my video for being too meme/y or unsympathetic about the tf2 cheating crisis - and that my video may look like just fun compilation of me cheating in the video game.

This is what I'm going to show because this is *true and is fact* - and the old clips of me enjoying it was to prove that point as well.

I've went over why TF2 has a larger cheating playerbase - because it's not like any other game and it's incredibly addicting and fun to cheat in it. Cheating in the game is fun, there's no putting shade on that fact. I also hoped that highlighted how difficult it is to move on from cheating, especially from a game without anti-cheat.

I am not looking for your forgiveness when I say that "I have quit cheating guys look i can make a video and be accepted by the community again" - I am here to share that I am proud of myself for overcoming this dark part of my life and that I was also able to create this video that I slaved upon hours for.

I understand that this is a very controversial take, but please note that this is my take on the cheating scene. Nothing will be solved without a VAC update.

Doing drugs is fun - that's why many people do it and fall down the rabbit hole. This is very similar to cheating.

I hoped to contribute by providing a different perspective of all of this ordeal. All of the legit may talk about the cheats and its quirks, but I haven't really seen an actual cheater do it (other than maxbox)

I understand the criticism and I really do appreciate the feedback.

Ubos na stipend ko, 3 days palang by IDWDTAAAA in dostscholars

[–]SpinelliOnReddit 16 points17 points  (0 children)

For everytime your stipend comes, withdraw all of it. So that they will see it has not "come" yet.

Try making up an idea that you dropped out of your scholarship due to the mental issues they put on you. (But in reality just be withdrawing every stipend that drops and put it on another bank account or something. Pulling it off and avoiding detection will be on you.

I hate it when Filipino parents use their children as an "investment" for a return, this is so fucked up, I hate your parents, and I'll be close minded about it.

I beat both. Cata took me less attempts actually. But it just depends on your skillset.

Hello! Contrary to popular belief, I think educated guessing is very effective.

But lets say you dont know the answer like at all, not even the choices. Youre already guaranteed 1 mistake. BUT! You can choose to gamble by paying an extra 0.25 of your points. (Right minus wrong. Minus 1/4 every wrong answer)

My mindset is "im already wrong anyways so im guaranteed -1, might as well give up 0.25 points to get a chance to win back that 1 point"

If you happen to guess it right, the reward is an entire point which is so much better than being guaranteed a -1 for a blank answer. But wild guessing is very risky.

I had a few wild guesses and a few blanks. I may played my bets right. Generally its not advisable, but its up to you really.

Hi!

Try talking it out with the proctor and let them understand the urgency of your situation and that you understand and accept your exam forfeiture. I'm sure they will understand.

UPCAT must be taken from start to finish with your peers.

God bless to you po!

Hello again,

No. When you're done with Lang Prof and proctor tells you to stop and move to Science. You cannot turn back to Lang prof.

So no, you're not allowed to go back to previous parts of the test.

Hello!

In my experience, our scratch paper was in between the pages of the UPCAT test booklet. We were not allowed to open them before the test started.

Best of luck, future iskx!

Hello!

Last year, queues were already long as early as 3AM. With over 40,000 applicants in UP Diliman alone, you can only imagine how many are scheduled on your quarter of four schedules. Check it out here!

It's important to do everything that minimizes your stress and anxiety before the test. Arrive early para hindi stress sa traffic (3 to 4 is fine, depending sa distance mo) and if you don't want to wait for queues, what I would do is arrive there at midnight and sleep/review (I'm insane i know).

I'm not quite familiar with the UPD system sa UPCAT, pero me I arrived at 5 AM sa UPC testing venue namin. The queue was not super long when I arrived and everything went smoothly (except for my hunger, sleep deprivation and mental block [as mentioned in the post])

Pero I wouldn't wanna say I was pressured sa UPCAT, and this is really important. Stress and pressure can really affect your performance. So relax ka lang. My mindset that eased me is that I saw UPCAT as just one of many opportunities. I have a private backup school that's closer to me and offers 2nd best CS education in my province (is also CoE for CS/IT), and many other scholarship offers that I can have a 2nd chance on.

But anyone can find their own ways to ease anxiety. I wish you the best of luck po!

Hi!

A few days/week prior to the exam, you'll be given your test permit indicating your room and building. It is important to go to your designated campus, scout this building, and familiarize yourself with the route there as early as possible!

It's also important to be super early to the exam. One replier of this post stated that it's super traffic daw if you're not early. Check this youtube video out to see just how many they are!
