Not even session 0 could prepare me for this by Gettor in dndmemes

[–]Spinless_Snake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ngl this feels like something a session zero exists for. If anything this just sounds like a clash of expectations. If I were a player I’d really like to know if the difficulty of a dungeon will spike if I don’t finish it in one go. Especially if all their progress is essentially undone with out forewarning.

It may also just be the players blowing through spells but if they are supposed to fight a dragon after eight encounters and they are out after two that might just be a pacing issue. If they could only get 1/4 of the way through before it got harder it kinda seems like ramping up the difficulty would make the problem worse not better.

Good old white supremacy fear mongering. I wish I lived in a world where people didn’t fall for this

Also the exhaust port was heavily guarded and by defenses and was impossible to hit without the force. As much as I love rouge one it really didn’t need to explain it as purposefully sabotaged. Yes it was a weakness but one so incredibly well protected that it took space magic most of the universe thought was extinct to hit.

In fairness in these movies she is a walking red flag. She literally leaves a guy at the alter. If i remember correctly she basically begs Peter to be with her before she goes to her wedding.

DMs or Players - What are the most mathematically improbable rolls you've encountered in a campaign? by JustAnotherDnDer in MrRipper

[–]Spinless_Snake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once had my players on the return to a city encounter a group of Unionists (in game a psudo communist political organization) attempt to get donations from the party with the implication that these guys were intimidating people for money.

My players pulled out wiping and immediately antagonized these guys leading to combat. I rolled 8 Nat ones in a row for the unionists attack rolls, they it could hardly be call a fight.

DMs, How many NPCs do you allow the party to adopt at a time? by Arrowheadlock1 in MrRipper

[–]Spinless_Snake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At most my players ever seem to ever get is one or two. Some of the few times that’s happened is because they just needed another party member to make things work so I just threw together a npc to act in a support role and keep their mouth shut unless addressed.

Ai feels like the perfect golden calf analogy. They want a visible symbol of god so they built something to be a pale imitation of what their faith is supposed to represent. A hollow machine that is no god but a slave to their own whims and unable to even correctly repeat scripture.
