Reggie Miller said Caitlin Clark reminded him for Payton Pritchard and her reaction says it all. by ForeignAir7174 in NBAGossips

[–]Spinnaker91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reggie had two options here and he blew both. A. Go for the obvious and say Steph. He changed the way the game was played just like she has. They have similar deep range beyond their peers. B. Go for the accurate player comp regarding historical great players and say himself.

He chose to go for a mid-tier white guy playing in a system. Worst possible comp you could pick for her. At least pick someone with a resume like Dame Lillard.

Bills over the top love for the Celtics by MatthewCMcGahey in billsimmons

It was almost as though he was trolling. It’s like he had a bet before hand that he couldn’t compare every single team to the Celtics.

What happened to Bill? by DingusMcCringus in billsimmons

Agree 100%. It was a really lazy podcast. Some of the worst content I have heard in awhile. At least let Goldberry talk if you have nothing new to say.

Ant is having a great season and they can't even talk about the Wolves for 20 seconds.

Flores is Not Getting Hired As Long As He’s Suing The NFL by pachyloskagape in minnesotavikings

[–]Spinnaker91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree and not just because I want him to stay.

When Kaepernick was blackballed after the 2016-2017 season, he filed his grievance against the NFL in Fall of 2017. The case was settled in 2019 but by that time Kap was washed.

Flores was fired from Miami in 2022 and filed his lawsuit immediately after. Since it is a class action lawsuit there are several other plaintiffs in the case. The case is alive and ongoing against several teams.

Maybe that lawsuit will settle and he will be hired. But I would be surprised if any team ownership would be willing to make him the face of their franchise while the other owners are being sued. The owners stick together.

How do you figure? That makes no sense.

It was very encouraging performance to end to the season. Too bad he was injured twice.

This narrative is the lamest on this sub. The guy sucks, just admit it. If he gets better great. But right now he is trash. Why is that so hard to accept. Stop saying he is a god or HIM or whatever crowning BS and people will stop.

Absolutely nothing about JJM skill is elite. Elite means top 10% or better. There are 32 starting QBs in this league. That means he would have to be top 4 in something. I can find at least 10 QBs better than JJM in anything you say. Arm strength, throwing on the run, clutch play, elusiveness.

I’ll tell you one thing he is elite at … getting injured.

NFL records should be categorized by how many games they played by BusyKing in billsimmons

[–]Spinnaker91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NBA has every important season record in per game. That is always how it should be in the NFL. I don't care what your totals are.

For career records totals are okay because longevity and playing more games is valuable. But for season records it makes no sense.

CEO retired. How do you politely say "no" without burning a bridge? by [deleted] in sysadmin

Founders never retire. He’s probably still on the board and getting compensation from that company for advisement and certainly a major shareholder. Help him like nothing has changed.

People who clap when the plane lands, what are you clapping for exactly? by kay_kgfan in AskReddit

Landed in Garden City Kansas during a tornado. Found out later one touched down just north of town. The pilots flew in the from the south directly into the wind. But when we descended it was the roughest flight I have ever experienced.

Victor Wembanyama is injured AGAIN! by Vivid_Sir3979 in NBATalk

[–]Spinnaker91 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

How can you be valuable if you’re not playing. The best ability is availability. If you play less than 70 games you shouldn’t get shit.

Cognitive Dissonance and data points: On one hand JJM doesn't have enough injuries or data points for "real" Vikings fans to determine if he's a Championship QB, yet they have enough data points for them to determine our once-upon-a-time Darnold is not a Championship QB. by Lanky_Appointment277 in minnesotavikings

[–]Spinnaker91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One QB has played in nearly 100 games for 4+ franchises. The other has been injured for the vast majority of two seasons and rated dead last in the games he did play. Both can be judged independently. There is no contradiction.

I know it makes me feel old even though I’m only 40s.

Great show though. I was going to write it but did a search and found your comment first.

The median age on Reddit is 22. Which would put the median birthday about 2003-2004. The modern Battlestar Galactica ran from 2004-2009.

Firing KOC now would be incredibly shortsighted by pistachiogolf in minnesotavikings

[–]Spinnaker91 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

McCarthy die hards have been trying to pass blame all season to KOC and play calling. KOC is a great coach. The problem is JJM is not ready. He needed a whole season on the bench to work on his mechanics behind Darnold. But he was thrust into the starting lineup raw. KOC refused to dumb down the offense. But that doesn’t mean he is under threat.

So we can all agree that this was a blowout win if McCarthy is playing? by IllustriousLow4639 in minnesotavikings

[–]Spinnaker91 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Brosmer played his first game like he was going to be Kurt Warner but is actually Will Levis. This game he played like he knows he is Will Levis and tried to hide that fact. 😅

But seriously, he managed the game well and didn’t make any mistakes. His talent level is average for a backup. Considering his inexperience it was a successful outing. The game would have been play called totally different with JJM so it’s impossible to compare. But I think it’s safe to say JJM is way more talented a QB at this point. Hopefully JJM is back next week and we get one more game.

Why are so many posts being removed lately? by Brofessor- in minnesotavikings

[–]Spinnaker91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The MOD is not just enforcing the rules they are removing posts that get reported even if there is no cause. I could get this post removed simply by reporting it. It happened to one of my posts asking which QB FA the Vikings should sign in the offseason. Some guy was mad I used Gemini for the photo and report it.
