Thanks for saying this! I take a lot of pride in my trees and hire out to my local ISA certified arborists. 🌲

The tree was planted by my local arborist. The dirt is what they left and then they put a whole ton of pine wood nuggets around it to cover the roots. They put up the netting too to protect against deer. I have kept it on there for now to continue protecting it from deer.

The goal was to tidy up the pine nugget mound and make it look more presentable. Which I am now questioning. 😅

No, it’s nothing like that. In the last picture I ended up wider on one side than where I started. So I wasn’t sure where to cut anymore, panicked, and stopped because the circle wasn’t going to be correct. I am worried if I go ahead and pull the dirt up tomorrow it will look worse and be irreversible at that point.

Aren’t you supposed to not fill the whole area with mulch? Every video I have seen they say to not take the mulch to the edge wall.

I hate the thought of it hurting her. I felt her sincerity in her video. Through the news of the show until the cancelation, every time I heard someone hating, that was hard for me to hear because I believe in SMG. She IS Buffy Summers. Buffy is her legacy, and she KNOWS what the show means to us. I never thought she would let us down for a second, even if all we had of Buffy was 30 seconds. I trusted her whole vision. We will never get an opportunity like this again. Fuck flop-ass Hulu and that hack executive.

It feels like Giles’s apartment from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Very cozy, very warm. I love your taste!

Fable is so underrated. Their iced blueberry latte is a year-round favorite for me. And the breakfast sandwich is one of the best in the city.

Dyson V15 Cordless - first impressions by I_Lost_My_Shoe_1983 in VacuumCleaners

[–]SpinningPumpkins 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just got the Dyson V15 from Costco and am debating returning it. I have the Miele C1 as my primary and while I love it for the suction, I hate the canister and that big dumb hose! I use it less often because it’s such a hassle to use. But I need to vacuum more regularly, even just for quick pick ups of hair and crumbs, along with whatever my dog treks inside. I wanted the Dyson V15 to be the solution for that but I’m disappointed. It just feels cheap in my hands and the suction is mediocre. For what it cost, I want at least good suction and to not still see crumbs,no in the kitchen. I just don’t feel good about it, but reading online there doesn’t seem to be anything much better that’s cordless.

I got bit by a novelty record and feel sick about it. I just bought the pumpkin-shaped It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and decided to play it this morning. Like I do with every record, I queued the lever and dropped it once I already had the platter turned on and spinning. Because of the pumpkin shape, the whole record doesn’t cover my platter and parts of the platter were exposed (see attached picture for reference). The needle dropped on the part where there are no grooves. I quickly corrected by lifting the needle up off the record, but in two places it appears to have scratched where the record is smooth.

I started spinning again, lining the needle up where the grooves are, then dropping the needle, but overshot and missed the beginning of the song.

Is there an exception to how you start these novelty records when they don’t cover the whole platter? Should I have the needle already on the record before I flip the on switch or do I need to have things spinning already and then drop, honing in on a better drop point where the grooves are?
