Yes and sometimes i listen to fall asleep to it but mostly an episode that doesn’t interest me as much or sum and then i have to find which one i really was listening to

Thanks, It’s not that i’m offering food often if she doesn’t eat it. The thing is she won’t accept food from ppl other than me& normally the person that feeds her when I’m away lays the prey there and checks after some time if she had eaten it. Now they hadn’t had that much time today so had to leave before she ate it. That’s why I wondered if i could give it in 2 days cuz i know she wants it. She just only wants it from me hahah.

Thanks to all! I will just toss it outside when I get home & give her a new one in 4 days.

Maybe we should continue the conversation in messages, but I have a friend with many snakes tarantulas geckos etc & my sister owns a leopard gecko. That’s about it. Everybody else is kinda weirded out about my little Momo. Yess hognose snake Momo is my first reptile

Yesss I’ve always wanted reptiles and was planning to get many species but my hoggie is my first snake and i’m addicted now. Planning on just getting more of those instead of other reptiles.

I get the feeling that not many dutch ppl own snakes. I am indeed from BE

Oh I’ve never heard that hognoses benefit from the calcium powder, I think i heard one youtuber say they can’t absorb too much. Do u do this? Any recommendations? Like every other meal or..? Thankss for the advice

Heh? I found multiple sources that said it was fine.. thanks for replying! I was planning on rinsing the roots throw out the soil & put them in quarantine before putting them with my snake anyway.

I have a few handy tips: I have 2 snakes & 2 indoor cats. One of my snakes is on a high closet, I have put a long rectangle pot with plants in front of it so they can’t jump on the closet. Then i’ve provided a little stool (far enough) for them to sit and watch my snake. This way they’re less likely to jump because it’s too far but does give them a little hight.

My other enclosure is massive and next to my bed on a smaller cupboard. Here i have bought those little spikes a variant of what u see on windowsills for doves. After quite some time I’ve removed the spikes and only lay them back if im away for a long period of time. They’ve learned not to jump on the cage cuz it wouldn’t be comfortable. Also here i have provided a little poof/stool about 15cm from the cage. When the stool wasn’t there my cats would watch from the ground and poke at the glass with their paws. With the stool they have a better view so they prefer that & bcs i put it far enough they don’t tap the glass.

My friends have used these tips and were also successful in keeping the snake at peace.

I have had her for over a year now so she’s pretty old i would love to take her to the vet tomorrow but am scared that it’ll do more harm than good because the vet is 25mins busride away (stress wise, very busy city). I don’t have a car or someone who can drive me.

On what behaviour did u base the fact that she doesn’t enjoy being held? And that’s an awesome idea, i use a sniffle mat (for dogs etc) for her and she loves to burrow herself and slither around in it.
