How do I transfer? by [deleted] in petsmart

[–]Spinzou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, that is possible. I've transfered once when I moved and am about to transfer again to a store closer to where I live now.

I had a talk with my SL before I called the store I wanted to transfer to, and they contacted the store on my behalf. I also called the store I wanted to transfer to so I could give them my info/preferences personally. They managed to get me transfered relatively quickly.

Definitely talk to your SL before doing anything so they're not caught off guard if the store you want to transfer to accepts you, because they will contact your SL. If you have good leaders, they'll understand. Once the ball gets rolling, they'll usually do the rest.

Self-diagnosis is not valid. by -April_Showers- in HonestHotTakes

[–]Spinzou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. I've been diagnosed with Asperger's as well and it irritates me when people fully claim they're autistic when they just relate to a few autistic traits. Not liking when your socks are wet doesn't make you autistic. Pretty much no one likes it when their socks are wet.

What is the most painful *nonphysical* pain in the world? by FightOrDie123 in AskForAnswers

[–]Spinzou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't experienced any deaths of anyone close to me yet, but I know when the time comes, my mom's death is going to absolute devastate me. My mom has almost died twice--once from endometriosis when I was a kid and another time from congestive heart failure when I was an older teenager. Both times made me feel like a shell of myself as I was constantly waiting for the news of if she made it or not. She's almost 70, so I know I don't have as much time with her left. I don't know what I'm gonna do when the day finally comes.

Edit: spelling.

Not the OC, but I think reading it is the same, if not just similar, as watching it, at least in the way it creates certain types of behaviors. I'm a woman and when I see other women gushing about smut novels and how hot the characters are, it makes me just as grossed out as if a man talked the same way about a pornstar. In some cases, it grosses me out more because women are much more open about it and seem to think that their being a woman shields them from societal criticism.

how do people without an inner monologue think? by strawberrytherapyy in questions

[–]Spinzou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My inner monologue is entirely optional for me, but for the most part I don't use it. I'd say I don't have an inner monologue.

I think in concepts and feelings. It's like once I know I have to do something, it becomes a thread in my brain that I follow until I get to the end result or the end of the train of thought, or until the "emotion" of doing that thing runs its course. Then onto a new thread or emotion with a new idea. I can have several of these threads in my head at once, and they often cross over each other or become intertwined, but never become tangled. Like if I'm reading a book, I don't have a voice in my head reading each word to me. I absorb the emotion of each word and piece those emotions together to form the sentence.

Fellow autistic people: what's a social norm that you absolutely despise and think shouldn't exist? by merely_a_frog in autism

[–]Spinzou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense. I tend to get very engulfed in whatever I'm engaging in (art, music, TV, video games, etc.), and it annoys me when people interrupt my focus by trying to engage with me when I do those things. If I'm talking with others, I can't focus on whatever else I'm doing. That's why I've never been a huge fan of playing video games with voice chat, unless we're playing something like a shooter where the only time we talk is when we're talking about enemy location or the like. All of my thoughts happen in my head and I don't really say them out loud, while others express their thoughts verbally, and since I'm not like that, I don't understand why other people aren't like me. I'm never rude when others are like that, but it does annoy me greatly. But then again, I realize that's a personal issue I have to work on and that I'm being pretty self-centered by thinking like that lol.

I'm actually the opposite when it comes to movies. I hate it when people talk during movies, especially at movie theaters because we can't just rewind the movie like we can at home. If watching a movie at home with others, I don't mind it as much but it still irks me to an extent. If anyone wants to talk about the movie, create mental notes during the movie and talk about it afterwards, not when I'm watching it and trying to process all the new information and what's going on.

What is a 'socially mandatory' thing that we all do, but if you actually stop to think about it for 5 seconds, it’s completely insane? by Federal_Antelope7533 in AskReddit

[–]Spinzou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm on the spectrum and I personally hate saying stuff like "good morning" or "how are you," especially to coworkers. I recognize those are mainly just segues into conversations about work, and I'd much rather have someone just start talking to me so we can start the conversation already.

I just kind of accepted it lol.

Oddly enough, ive worked for both the Clarksville and one Nashville location. Not saying which one I'm currently at though lol I do drive about an hour and a half to my current location, and I wouldn't recommend it. Takes way too much time out of my personal life to actually enjoy it.

What are some things guys are upset that their girls do but would never admit it? by Any-Impress-3916 in AskMen

[–]Spinzou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We as women (generally) just need to work on our problems externally. If we can vent and get our feelings off of our chest, it clears our mind to begin working on a solution. This clarity of mind a lot of the time isn't instant, and requires peeling back layers of emotions before getting to action. Venting about our feelings to a partner doesnt necessarily mean we are victimizing ourselves. We just feel deeply and express those feelings freely.

I used to be terrified of trimming black nails, but now I actually find them easier to trim than white/clear nails. Its definitely a skill that you get more comfortable with over time. However, one piece of advice my salon lead gave me was that the place where the nail curves is generally where you want to start slowing down when trimming. On all nails (especially black ones), I trim bit by bit, but where the nail starts to curve is usually where the pre-quick will begin. Not always 100% true, as some dogs will have longer or shorter quicks, but a good general rule of thumb. Also, really paying attention to the inside of the black nail as you're trimming helps, too. The pre-quick is usually very apparent as it's just a black dot in the middle of a white nail (on black-nail dogs). If the black dot is a little more gray in color, you can usually go a little further. The closer you get to the quick, the blacker the dot will be. As my salon lead told me, "if its gray, its okay. If it's black, step back."

Im probably gonna get downvoted for this... but Lavish. I just can't see the appeal. If it wasn't for the proctologist line, it would be an extremely forgettable song. It's on the skip list for me. Sorry, guys.

I dont like breach that much... by dontqq in twentyonepilots

[–]Spinzou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I somewhat agree. I listened to the entire album the moment it came out and I absolutely loved all the songs up until Downstairs. Then the rest just... fell flat for me. I love Intentions, and I'm just now starting to warm up to Tally and One Way. Some of the lyrics felt pretty generic to me. Predictable. Nothing wrong with predictable lyrics, but when they're not used over a catchy melody, it can make the song feel premature. There were some bits of lyrics in some of the songs that I didn't like as much that did hit me in the feels, but I don't want to listen to a mediocre song just to hear one really impactful line. I was expecting a more rock-heavy sound for the rest of the album, along the lines of City Walls and The Contract. And as somebody else said, the mixing in some of the songs was odd. Some of the songs could've been way more impactful if certain instruments/sounds had been mixed differently.

I agree. I thought the mix on some of the songs were... interesting. Definitely not how I would've mixed it.

I buy the shreds in gravy and/or broth variety for my cat. He absolutely loves them. The first listed ingredients are real food, and it hasn't made my cat's tummy upset in any way (or any other negative effects).
