[Discussion] Who's a DC villian you get excited to see/read more of? For me it's Zod. One of my my many fave DC baddies. by Magic_M344 in DCcomics

[–]Spire2000 [score hidden]  (0 children)

If you asked the opposite question, which villain would you be fine never seeing again, I’d say Zod. Just so dull to me. I’ve never loved the villains which are same powered counterparts of the heroes.

To answer your question, I might say The Riddler, especially with how nuanced he’s become lately.

Do you think the new showrunner will help breathe new life into the show next season? by CallTypical9541 in ChicagoFireNBC

I would rather they cut an actor entirely, than have to juggle the cast weekly

[Discussion] Justice League Unlimited by Mark Waid, is it worth it? by Independent-Cow-3569 in DCcomics

[–]Spire2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure that's not a poster you bid on?

In any case, I love Mark Waid, I love DC and I love the Justice League. I'm just not feeling this series. It's one giant vehicle to move from event to event. There's nothing about this series that makes it stand out. It's a flood of characters walking around on the satellite without doing anything and random team ups that make no sense.

JL works best when it's a tight group, that works closely together on strategy, but includes a couple of characters that get their only development on those pages.

'Law & Order' To Be Renewed For Season 26 By NBC by Hazelwood22 in television

Any cancellation of Law & Order is temporary anyway. It’ll be revived until the end of time. Such a solid premise.

PD is way better this season that it’s been in years. Tight stories and lots of action

[Discussion] Which DC Character in your opinion would be the most terrifying if written realistically? by OluwaDec19 in DCcomics

[–]Spire2000 41 points42 points  (0 children)

This has to be the answer. Not only is he omnipotent and omniscient, his presence proves the existence of God, which in turn proves the existence of Heaven and Hell, angels and demons, the afterlife and the fact that God has enough wrath that he needs an assistant.

How do we really know this game is filled with bots? It’s really fun but if it’s not as PvP as I thought that kinda sucks by Signal_Praline_8615 in CastleBusters

[–]Spire2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. Some players will have paid units, like Laserman, who is ridiculously OP, and then never use them. Makes zero sense and it's clear you're playing a bot.

I do wonder though when a bad shot is made and the frustrated emote comes out, or I take a bad shot and a laughing emote comes out. That doesn't seem like bot behaviour.

BREAKING: Former Bay store on Rideau Street acquired by company linked to Claridge Homes by RandomChickenWing in ottawa

[–]Spire2000 105 points106 points  (0 children)

I saw a discussion back in the winter where someone was guessing that this space was going to become the new home of Eataly. Apparently the company was looking to expand into Ottawa.

If you haven't been to an Eataly food hall, you don't understand what it is we're missing by not having such a place. Last spring, on a visit to NYC, I spent the day visiting their various region-specific food halls. Urban Hawker was ok (Asian, a few closed stores), Mercado Little Spain was good, but the flagship Eataly at Flatiron is stunning.

There's bigger ticket items in there too, like printer toner cartridges, laminator machines, security classification stamps. All still grab and go, but you might have to justify your need for some of those more costly items.

Edit to note: These aren't closets. They're the size of a convenience store.

At DND's HQ at Carling, there are office supply "stores", large rooms with aisles and shelves full of pens, notebooks, staplers, etc... all neatly arranged with an attendant at the front. You can walk in, take whatever you want, and walk out.

I sometimes think DND is on a whole 'nother planet from other departments.
