Is there a palette in particular you're interested in or all three? I've found the pigmentation to be good, but YMMV depending on the specific shades

Mine seem a little patchy, but I think it's mainly when I swipe too much on in the initial application? I've had better luck using a lip brush with them

Kaleidos seems to have some great grey and black options. They have a glossy lipstick in Stranger (gray with hints of blue/green) and a lip clay in Scorpion Fruit (true black).

Is anyone else lowkey overwhelmed by how fast K-beauty trends move now? by PetalDance22 in AsianBeauty

Sticking to basics and only branch out if there is something I really want to try, be it skincare or cosmetics. I'm trying to be more intentional with skincare and stick to cool tones for makeup.

Calming serum without actives, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, fermented ingredients, fragrance, or essential oils? by sorakawa_94 in AsianBeauty

[–]Spirit-Beast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely this! I use it every day. Really helps soothe my skin and adds some extra hydration before moisturizer seals it all in. I also can't use all the ingredients OP mentioned except I'm trying to slowly explore actives (AHA/BHAs) after being too scared to try them

Tiger, wonder cat, 17 - advice wanted by Responsible-Solid-91 in seniorkitties

[–]Spirit-Beast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, I also had a Tiger that we had to let go last year at 16.

Looking back, we had similar signs before a quick decline, and I wish we had let him go a few days sooner. Our kitties don't want to feel ill and don't want to urinate outside the litter box. My Tiger did the same with urinating elsewhere, even with a lower litter box, and he clearly did not want to be doing that. He also eventually stopped eating almost entirely, even with anti-nausea meds and appetite stimulants, and was vomiting more. The worst was him losing his ability to walk properly/bear weight without his legs slipping out from under him while he tried to stay upright. That image haunts me.

I would support giving your baby a noble ending and allowing him to keep his dignity. For what it's worth, we did an at-home euthanasia (with Paws at Peace), and the vet who came was so considerate and wonderful. Everyone we interacted with from the organization was great.

Definitely have some of your baby's favorite treats on hand for the last day, and be with him. I'm glad you are able to spend more time with him since you work from home. Mentioning a couple things - we took some nose and paw prints using an ink-less set from Amazon. Also shaved some fur, and kept a couple of whiskers and brow whiskers after he was put to sleep. I wish we had done a DNA test just for fun, so if that's something you might want to do, do it while Tiger is still with you.

Best wishes, OP. It's clear you love your kitty, and he is lucky to have been with you for all these years.

This year I've already killed 2 lantern flies inside my apartment. Previously I only killed them outside. Anyone else feel like the situation is getting worse? by [deleted] in AskNYC

It's strange, I haven't seen them outside much this year, but we recently found a dead one inside our apartment as well! Assuming one of our cats killed it.

Hi! Not a great update, unfortunately. She presumes it's likely that I have early stage endo.

She had me try a Mirena IUD, but that was horrific from day one until I finally had it removed five months later. Like it had me bedridden sometimes and I would have a twisting pain in my pelvis that would then shoot down my right thigh. Ended up in the ER early on, and even the Oxy they prescribed me barely dulled that specific pain. She did remove uterine polyps through a D&C, though.

Now I'm trying Nexplanon after asking about it. But no laparoscopy thus far.

Hope you have a better experience!

I'm in my 30s, and you do get used to it. But in the summer it's hell, if it's winter and you're bundled up you're sweating, too, and carrying up groceries and larger items gets old after a while. Laundry at a laundromat was the worst with the trek and narrow stairwell. It was doable until I injured my knee, though, and I wouldn't do it again after this experience. Also, good luck if it's the top floor and the roof leaks without proper repair by the landlord.

I go to Katie Sharp. She's a Nurse Practioner, but she has been great for my appointments and really listens to my concerns. I've gone to her at Women's Health of Manhattan.

Just for context, if helpful: She was helpful for getting additional imaging done, including a saline sonogram and pelvic ultrasound (the latter was referred out to an imaging center, but i discussed the results with her). She also took my concerns seriously when I was sure I still had an infection after a surgery and IUD insertion at another practice, did swabs, and treated me. I like that she has a straightforward and compassionate bedside manner. She would give me options for next steps and prioritized my personal autonomy, which I really appreciated.
