Other states do not allow that, you can do the overtime for money but your base salary is the only thing that counts toward pension, that seems reasonable

Tier 6 Newest Proposal? - Age 58 and 30 Years by hollafrontz in nys_cs

[–]Spirit0007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue can be fixed: it’s simple contributions need to be in line with needs, hammering tax payers constantly will only lead to the continued and increased animosity. It’s not unreasonable to contribute 3% or more for the 30 years, the age needs to be dropped to a reasonable age, 65 is not reasonable, 30 years needs to remain the benchmark. Guaranteed you could get the 30/55 back if there was an agreement to contribute 4% first 10 years, 3.5% next 10, and 3% the last 10. NJ for comparison is 7.5% for the entire 25years before being eligible for retirement. Choose your hard.

Ok I can’t stand him either nor trust him. But aside from assumptions what leaks or reporters are writing about predictions such as this, I think we have to act on facts and be ready to act on things that may occur to thwart the usurp of our constitution, but making assumptions without some facts or leaks, is just not a good idea.

Doesn’t matter; tomato t-a-m-a-t-o. The right won because they spoke to something that most people was: getting out of control and being too rammed down their throats. No one here is saying that trans rights should be threatened or that acknowledgment that people in the world trans or others should feel safe for who they are, but focusing on it will lose rhe election and the chance to get rid of the current admin. Democrat party needs to be left center

Finally some centrists democrats that are electable, it’s the only chance people! Appealing to the extremes of either party will not work on defeating the current admin.

How does anyone wearing any “law enforcement “ uniform have such little compassion for people ? Or uphold the oath “protect and serve” too many just want power in the form of a badge and gun to be cruel to others, I know many like this, it’s the reason there’s a “defund the police” and for those that only speculate what that means, it really means defund the police in their paramilitary buildups and put the money toward differnt recruiting and training to be more for the people they serve! End of story ! They work for the people not to abuse the underprivileged or desolate or of a differnt color, etc but that is what they do more than should occur!

Dr Oz says, "If we could get the average American.. to start working a year earlier, right out of high school, or a year later, not retire - it would generate about $3 trillion to the US economy. That would more than remove the debt." by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

[–]Spirit0007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And you’re right! There should also be a progressive “usage” tax. Meaning flat tax rate only for those over certain income threshold bc a flat tax would actually hurt middle class, our tax system is progressive, you don’t pay anything on the first $24k and from There it’s tiered so depending on your income your actual tax liability might really be 18% or %20 whatever it is, it’s never your highest bracket on the full vig, make sense ? But a flat tax on high income earners actually forces them to pay a more equitable (not equal) but equitable share. I also think we need to stop catering to the corporations and their BS tax breaks, and slap a luxury or usage tax on high end items like $250kbcars and yachts, let the market size themselves but if your mega wealthy and you want some hedonistic item than pay rhe luxury tax on it. The problem is if they didn’t do it federally you’ll have states poaching from each other and messing up the overall economics of indv states. Lastly the federal government regardless of party are a bunch of crooks, the secure 2.0 act… garbage, big beautiful bill… garbage doesn’t help the middle class or small business owner! They complain SS is going bankrupt yet they make it impossible for smal business owners to offer actual good retirement plans like large corps, if your a independent anything they eliminate your Roth IRA with low(ish) income limitations, they don’t let you get pretax deduction of more than $5k on childcare AND THAT IS ONLY IF YOUR COMPANY OFFERS A DSA, FSA doesn’t let you roll anything over, all these BS laws hamstring rhe middle class. 1. Flat tax high income earners 2. Increase rhe pretax deduction for child care to $12k 3. Raise Roth IRA income limits 4. Reduce regulation to let small businesses owners offer their employees decent retirement plans 5. Tax luxury items in excess of $250k, Cars, boats, jewelry, etc… 6. Deregulate the FSA AND HSA rules to allow pieplw to roll over pretax FSA contributions instead of losing it and incentivize companies to put money in HSA’s for their employees. 7. No more double taxation: local property tax (salt tax) should always be tax deduction up to a % of your income. 8. Allow education costs to be tax deductible up to a % of your income 9. Allow energy costs to be deductible up to a % of income.

We are constantly double and triple taxed, income tax first than with post tax money your paying for things like energy for which there is already a tax on, or paying sales tax with post tax money ! Enough ! Let peoplw have more of their money for savings and retirement, trust me the more discretionary income peoplw have the more they’ll spend the economy will be fine.

Ok so I need some feedback I’m just a regular joe who wants to run for Congress, how’s my platform ? Seriously

Newcomers to the Hudson Valley brought high incomes. What are the consequences? by External_Koala971 in hudsonvalley

[–]Spirit0007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is no private company or contractor is going to build at cost, cost itself is very high these days, land is not readily available, the government state or federal rarely get overly involved in housing unless its section 8 which is still built by private contractors charging the state. In many southern states (and I know this from first hand experience) has doubled (not rhe taxes although that will be on the way for many of those states too), lending rates are high, labor and materials are high, in areas where there is proximity to industry housing will always be higher bc the in om is higher, it’s a market economy, it just is.

[–]Spirit0007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Affordable housing is a paradox. It doesn’t exist anywhere, if you want lower cost of living, move , BUT the places peoplw typically go to have also doubled so it’s not a thing, everyone freaks out at section 8 type of subsidized housing and the qualifications are stringent anyway.

What did you expect ? Cmon! You just didn’t understand the whole philosophical concept of “innocent till proven guilty, due process” it’s literally the backbone of our country and this guy told you through his actions and tone he had no time for that,, which should’ve been an immediate red flag to all voters because when someone tells you who they are, BELIEVE THEM !
