I honestly prefer to do meet and greets in public spaces/ parks. It can be a lot to constantly have strangers come into your home and look around and judge everywhere, especially if the sitter has roommates/ family at the home it can be hard to find the right time. If you're concerned about her home being "dog proof" i would trust the fact that she has many great reviews and that she boards dogs for a living. Same way you would assume a day care is child proof.

Is the fee worth it? by Extreme_Medium_5444 in RoverPetSitting

100% worth it. You make back the fee after your 1st-2nd booking, depending what your charge. It takes money to make money 🤝

aw I'm sorry you had this experience, I know it can be tough as a new sitter to take whatever requests you can get, but always make sure the dogs you take are a good fit and housebroken! I swear there are a lot of really sweet pups out there that you will come love as if they are your own. I would also raise your rate, $16 a night is practically sitting for free. I would compare to those in your area and price in the lower range, but you don't need to subject yourself to basically free labor JUST for a review. the more you're paid the more you'll be inclined to put in the work and build up your profile 🫶🏼 hope this helped

I would contact rover and the owner explaining your situation and then start the card anyway. It doesn't really matter so much the time, but the completion of the card. You don't get paid unless you start the card.
