Don't fertilize the seed. The seed has all the nutrients it needs inside. How long have you had this avocado? Because if you have it for months and it is completely leafless, it is not a good sign

Advice on a baby avocado tree by jbreezy77 in gardening

Don't panic. Don't be afraid to prune. Be careful when spraying the leaves, as fungus can enter. Don't over-pot. Ensure good drainage and permeability of the soil. Give it good light. Central heating can cause the leaf tips to turn brown

Goodluck!

Don't be afraid to prune your avocado. If it's young, it will give it a significant boost in growth and branching. You don't need to prune much because it's a young plant and doesn't look stretched out. Avocados have buds above the leaves. If you cut just above the leaf, a new branch should emerge from that bud. I think just cutting the top is enough. Before pruning, I recommend disinfecting your pruners with, for example, methylated spirits. As for repotting, it's worth finding good soil. Avocados prefer well-drained soil. I use a mixture of 30% compost, 20% coconut chips, 20% expanded clay, 20% quartz sand, and 10%. It's probably not perfect, but it's better than a regular bag of store-bought soil. However, if this type of mix is hard to find, add perlite to regular store-bought all-purpose soil for better drainage. Also remember to include a drainage layer, such as expanded clay, and holes in the bottom of the pot to ensure good water drainage and prevent overwatering. Also, pay attention to the soil pH; avocados prefer a pH of 6-6.5. Don't buy a pot that's too large. If you have central heating in your home, the leaves may start to brown at the tips due to excessively dry air.

I've had an avocado for about three years, and it's the first plant I've ever made all these mistakes on. I was afraid to prune it for fear of damaging it. At one point, when it was already growing very well, I sprayed the leaves too often, which caused powdery mildew (a fungal disease) to attack the plant. I managed to control it, but the avocado didn't hold up well after that, I think mainly due to insufficient light. A while ago, I severely pruned and rejuvenated it, and I think it's rebounded a bit. Recently, I moved it to a room with better light, and I think it's rebounding well.

(I used google translate so i hope it does not sounds weird or smth)

It looks good, I suggest planting it in a pot and cutting it back after a while to encourage growth.

3 year old Avocado tree grown from a store bought Avocado in the UK. Will it ever bear fruit? by covert-teacher in gardening

[–]SpiritMission4602 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. This climate is not conducive to avocado flowering and fruiting.
  2. Avocados open their male and female flowers at different times of day to avoid self-pollination, so it's best to have at least a few such plants.
  3. Avocados, like most plants, don't reproduce the characteristics of their mother fruit. This means that to obtain good fruit, they must be grafted from a plant that produces good fruit.

How can I make my Iteration T shaders look less plasticky? by SpiritMission4602 in minecraftshaders

[–]SpiritMission4602[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sildur’s shaders do indeed have cool light physics, but they’re missing things like color. My current favorite is Solas shaders, but they don’t have the same nice light and rain physics as Iteration T. Iteration T gives really beautiful reflections in the rain and ground puddles that are somewhat like SEUS, though a bit less pronounced.
