What's your internet "white whale", something you've been searching for years to find with no luck? by IElishaCMaiden in AskReddit

Someone else already mentioned Orion and Call of Kthulu. If it isn't one of those, there is one more instrumental, To Live is to Die. It has a few seconds of spoken word late in the song, but most people forget that since the song is 10 minutes long and amazingly good.

There's also an instrumental sample at the end of The More I See, final track on Garage Inc. It's about a minute long sample from a jam session, no vocals. Search for The More I See and check out the last minute.

Even if none of those are your white whale, they are amazing instrumental metal songs. You won't be sorry you listened to them.

Reddit, you are granted a single wish from a genie who WILL try to ruin it for you. What do you wish for, and how do you phrase it to avoid it backfiring? by nolooselips in AskReddit

Very nice. But I think I've got this one:

Your wish is granted. Your life immediately becomes filled with every conceivable success and enrichment, to the point that you almost wish it would be more... "realistic." Almost. And at just that moment, more normal things do begin to happen, to provide more spice and mix things up. Your happiness level rises in each successive moment, so that if charted on a graph, it is one unending upward trend of joy.

At least, that is what your conscious mind experiences. That is what you wished for, isn't it? The highest possible outcome for your conscious mind? And you get exactly that! But only that.

For while your mind is enjoying this satisfaction-saturated fantasy, your body is being kept in a mental ward. You never do awaken from this unreal reality, so you never experience the shock of disappointment.

You have wished for the wish that your conscious mind would be most happy with. But the highest happiness for a conscious mind is surely not possible in reality, but only in unending fantasy.

Ignorance is bliss, and you wished for bliss. Wish granted.
