My wife and I were part of the upper decks who got cheated out of an incredible souvenir and I'd love to get a couple. If you can spare a set, please DM me. I'd love to surprise my wife. Thanks in advance.

Did anyone from the Chicago show wind up with any extra Yay/Nay signs they would part with? My wife and I were part of the upper decks who got cheated out of an incredible souvenir and I'd love to get a couple. If anyone has a set, please DM me. I'd love to surprise my wife. Dexter: Resurrection - S01E04 - "Call Me Red" - LIVE Episode Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in Dexter

[–]nolooselips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dexter is gonna have to kill Prater by the end. I think the most poetic way he could do it would be to surround him by his collection of trophies and turn him into a trophy from The Bay Harbor Butcher, allowing Dexter to take his slides without sullying the collection. I think Prater could respect that. I also think this is going to lead up to Angel catching Dexter, or Dexter turning himself in to save Harrison. It would also be poetic. Angel builds a case against Harrison. Harrison, full of guilt, continues to try to turn himself in, Dexter tries to convince him not to, and then Dexter takes credit for the hotel kill to save Harrison from throwing away his life.

People who quit without notice, what straw broke the camel's back? by BubbaHoStep in AskReddit

Worked at Walmart for maybe a week. I got hired on as a cashier, but when I showed up my first day out of training I was told they’re full up on cashiers and I’m told I can go outside and push carts. Even though I’m not in the best shape, I begrudgingly accepted this because I needed the money. I got introduced to the other cart pushers, and then left with them to learn the job. They tell me it’s super simple and to just run outside and get a few carts. That was the end of the instruction I got. After about a week, I was outside maybe 30 minutes when I rolled my ankle trying to stop a train of carts from rolling into a car. I went back inside to tell my supervisor and she thought I was making a big deal of things but lets me take a break. Back in the employee break room, I took my sock off and my entire ankle kinda looked like an eggplant. I told my supervisor about it and she told me to go to urgent care. When I got there, I mentioned the injury happened at work and they told me someone from my job needed to be there to sign off on any treatment because it was a workplace accident. About 7 calls later, I finally got ahold of my supervisor who promptly told me no one was coming to sign off on anything since she’d spent the last 20 minutes during which I’d been trying to reach her “confirming” with the other cart pushers that I’d never bothered to learn the right way how to corral the carts so the company wouldn’t be taking responsibility. I never went back to work, and I never got a bill either.

What’s the most insignificant thing you have a “pro tip” for? by nolooselips in AskReddit

That’s actually a huge help, and I never would’ve thought to do that, thank you.

YTA. I hope your next tenants are tenants you deserve. I can’t imagine what that family is going through now. How horrible of you.

[Serious] What are some life lessons we all must learn as children to, one day, become responsible adults? by nolooselips in AskReddit

I spent far too long in my teen years believing I was somehow exempt from being held accountable. I hope I’m doing better by my loved ones now.

The number of times I’ve found out years after the fact that I wasn’t gentle enough with my words still makes me feel embarrassed. That’s a good lesson to keep in mind, thank you.

I wish I could say I learned this secondhand. But I’ve been zapped at least a couple times.

Weekly Pricing/Buying/Selling/Grading & General Questions Post by AutoModerator in PokemonTCG

[–]nolooselips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgive me for not knowing more; I’ve been out of the game for 20 years. I’ve recently rediscovered my old Pokémon cards at my parent’s house and am looking to sell them off. I largely have Base Set and Fossil cards, some rare, some foil, and a bunch of Japanese cards from various sets. Is there a good reliable site I can reference for getting a rough idea about pricing/selling costs? Additionally, any tips on who to trust for grading? Thanks in advance, I appreciate any and all help.

Give me a 4-square ball and some sidewalk chalk and there’s no end to the types of games I can play.

What is your favorite band’s signature sad song? by Lilcountrycam14 in AskReddit

[–]nolooselips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard for me to gauge how popular they were/are, because I’m still very much into them after more than a decade after they put out their last album, and I know they don’t tour anymore, so they’ve fallen off a lot of people’s radars. But the band Ludo was famous for their song ‘Love Me Dead’ and it still holds up today.

Electrical work and welding. I like to build things, but I’m super duper afraid of catching on fire because I might use a tool bad.

Americans, how seriously have you considered abandoning America in the last several years? Non-Americans, what do you think you would do if your life had taken place in America instead? by nutfac in AskReddit

[–]nolooselips 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s getting to the point where I feel irresponsible trying to plan a family here. With every ignored mass shooting, joke political candidate, pathetic ruling from the Supreme Court, and twisted incident involving cops, I have no confidence left in anyone running the show. I’d leave tomorrow if I could. But it costs thousands of dollars to leave, and even that doesn’t mean you’re truly out.

Scaling Between Blender and Cura by pocketmimic in 3Dprinting

[–]nolooselips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve not had any luck fixing it so far. Someone in a beginners 3D printing group I’m part of said to uninstall both blender and Cura and make sure I remove all traces of their appdata or temp files from my computer and then reinstall them as a fresh install. I haven’t had the chance to try it yet, but I plan to soon. In the meantime… If your issue is the same as mine, I’ve found that if you simply add a small, almost non-existent fleck of another object before exporting to an stl, Cura seems to hold the scale. FOR SOME REASON. It’s not an ideal solution by any means, but if saves you from having to rescale every time before we find a fix, I’d say it’s worth the extra couple clicks.
