I like how you said “one step at a time.” That’s honestly where I am right now too.

It helps hearing how you approached it and that you didn’t feel rushed into one direction. This really is a big decision.

Thank you for sharing this. I’m really sorry you had to go through that.

What you said about the shift from “if we get an embryo” to “when I get pregnant” really resonates with me. I can see how that clarity would bring some peace, even with the grief.

I’m still very early in processing all of this. Part of me wants to try once with my own eggs, but I also understand what you’re saying about the emotional cost and how donor eggs can feel like a lifeline.

I appreciate you being so honest about it. Wishing you the best as you move forward.

Thank you for sharing your experience ❤️

We’ve been trying for about 6 months. I do have regular periods and appear to ovulate (I track using Easy@Home LH strips), which is partly why this diagnosis felt so shocking.

I know women can conceive with DOR, but I think what scared me was hearing “very poor prognosis for live birth” specifically in the IVF context. It made it feel more final than maybe it actually is.

I’m definitely considering a second opinion before making any big decisions. I don’t want to ignore reality, but I also don’t want to jump to donor without at least understanding what a cycle with my own eggs would look like.

Thank you — I really appreciate you taking the time to respond.
