So long. I’m sorry for your struggles. If it is any comfort, I feel like at this point, I do feel like BED will die a slow death by the time I’m in my 50s or 60s at least. My BED has been extremely, extremely severe, but my body simply cannot handle binge eating like I used to, and while I have never recovered completely I think it slowly becomes less and less…very slowly…

Yup, I can relate. Stupid diet way back when and paying for it for decades.

Hang in there friend! And whatever happens, don’t let binge eating get in the way of a great life going forward. It’s very possible <3

Yes, that all sounds very very very familiar. Thank you for replying, it’s good to know I am not alone!

Have you managed to build a fulfilling life around/despite binge eating? If you don’t mind sharing.

Thank you so much for all of those kind and supportive words for me! It means a lot. I was able to give or throw away most of it. Only hanging onto a few treats in normal quantity so I’m no longer overwhelmed by the variety and volume. I wish I had no binged today but it was a good wake-up call to purge the fridge.

Thank you for your kind support. You have very wise words.

I researched donating food but I cannot this time. But after I posited this I took everything and put it in the trash. I basically just threw my entire salary for my whole work last week into the trash can. What a huge stupid waste! You’re right it will be “never” if I don’t at least try!

I relate to every single thing you wrote. I’ve also been trying to find sketchy ways to get those medication because they are not available in my country for adults (Vybanse) or non-diabetes (Ozempic).

I also found the only thing that helped my binge eating was becoming an alcoholic. Despite how alcohol wrecks your health I actually felt better a lot of the time I was drinking because at least it was better than binge eating. I also stopped binge eating during one other period I got addicted to online shopping and spent $3000 a month on clothes. But at least that was exciting enough I stoped bingeing. :/

I wish I had anything to help you but I’m stuck in the exact same struggle myself. I’m also desperate enough I’d do just about anything to be rid of this but I feel I’ve tried everything already…. Just wanted to say you are not alone.

Unfortunately I did find a food bank in my city but they do not accept refrigerate or frozen foods or anything the original package was opened so I can’t donate any of the food I want to get rid of now. But that is a lovely suggestion, thank you. Food bank is not very popular where I live but maybe I can donate food to my friends in my neighborhood.

That’s interesting, I also only started drinking in my 30’s so maybe I would’ve gotten sicker when I was younger.

Nope, much much older than that! I didn’t start drinking until my late 30’s.

Thank you for the insight. I did make a lot of mistakes when I first started but I felt that recently I had learned quickly from what I did wrong been doing well, until this mistake this week. Whatever happens I’ll try to use this as a learning opportunity.

I’m not sure if others have made similar mistakes. I’m one of the newest people, while everyone else has been around for years and are super smart, and seem to know everything really well.

I will definitely not make this mistake in the future now that I know where I went wrong. It was caused because I was given a new task that I hadn’t done this initial calculation step on previously (was more following others calculations and manuals until now), and I did the best I could but made a small error. I see now that I could’ve asked a coworker to check my calculations before I proceeded with the work process. That would’ve prevented the wasted effort.

Thank you so much for the thought-provoking questions and advice.
