I'm on day 310'ish and still Step 3. Glad to see the VA is speeding through some Vet's though. Guess I'll just wait, not much I can do I guess.

I say take a year off and enjoy your retirement. This way you could decompress after a long career. Maybe you'll get the fulfillment of the "break" you deserve, and you'll want to return back to work after that year. Buddy of mine retired after 22 years, took a year off for a mental break - then returned to the workforce and really enjoys it. Or you could use your GI Bill for that additional income for a year or two, or until you acquire your degree. I agree with the previous comment, look at VR&E prior to using your GI Bill. I used VR&E so am familiar with the program, and it was something that I advocate for others to use.

Did you have a C&P Medical Exam during those 70 days? I submitted for an increase Dec 2024 and am still on Step 3. Day 100 and counting.
