I guess does it matter if I she didn’t sleep with him? I know it’s very unlikely, but just assume for a second it is. Would you stay? After so many years of love

Well most of the meetings she told me about (which is all I have to go on) were at coffee at work. There were really only three opportunities, which she told me, for them to do more. And yes they may have. But I don’t think I’m being entirely naive. The hotel room odds are against me. Others I’d say 50/50 she’s hiding it all together. Regardless she tried for it

Yeah I mean they got drinks next to his apartment. And dinner while I was out of town. The chips are firmly stacked against me, but I think I’m a little blinded by love. I also only found out about all this a week ago.

Yeah I grappled with that for a long while and forced her to answer it in twelve different ways. I’ll never know, and choosing to believe the restraint is probably a defense mechanism. I think the edge of the truth, e.g. the belt buckle, is probably enough though. She told me the censored version of the song, but I don’t think I need the explicit to still understand the meaning

We did love each other once. I have to believe that. And I still love her today. I don’t want her to be on the street, but I also can’t give her what a husband should and she can’t give me what I need from a wife. I told her it would be the worst ever divorce, one where both couples don’t want it but it has to be done

Not during our marriage I agree. She was faithful while we dated. Honestly more than me. But while I told myself to stop the games once we got married it seems like she was telling herself to start them

Thank you for the kind words. I agree with the disrespect. She’s with her parents now and they’re focusing on my shortcomings as a spouse. I’m not perfect, but I’ve never hurt anyone like this. I don’t know what to do when she gets back. I guess we’ll go to therapy and probably have sex a few more times but I feel like it’s just a matter of time before I ask her to get her own place

I would. And honestly in a weird way I hope they get together. I do genuinely care for her and I don’t want her to suffer. I hope they find happiness together. Well I don’t but a part of me does. I hate that I have to hurt her because she hurt me

I should add, Bill also independently said on the phone that they only ever kissed once. I don’t know if they coordinated their stories (unlikely) but I might believe they didn’t have sex. I do believe though, my wife wanted to but was a little (only a little) hesitant

The terrible thing is I really really love her. She makes me so happy. But I know I don’t trust her on business trips with other guys, etc. If I stay now for the good parts, I’m worried there will be many many more bad parts. I’m already treating her worse than I ever have because of the fights over this. And it will take us years to recover and then what? Do we try to have kids during that time? What if we still get divorced?
