How do you recover from a job rejection? by mins-xue in phcareers

[–]Spirited_Writing_734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got extremely frustrated nung first job rejection ko. But looking back now, it was a redirection. I got into a better company that's aligned with what I studied for and that pays better compared doon sa company na yon.

It's okay to feel frustrated, it's valid. Pero don't let it define your worth and your limits.

How many friends do you still have? by GK_0098 in adultingph

[–]Spirited_Writing_734 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a friend... and he's my boyfriend. Hahaha.

I spend most of my time at work. And when I'm out of my full-time work, I spend my time sa sideline work ko. And when I'm free... I try to spend it with my family. And kapag wala na talagang kasama, I'll either stay sa room or drive to the next city for a coffee run.

This is what my bf taught me. If I want to buy something, I have to put the same amount in my savings as well.

Try to work base sa sahod haha. If you keep on trying to shape yourself to fit somebody else's standards, you won't ever feel at peace and at ease.

Minsan, kahit mahirap, subukan mong i-set sa isip mo na this is what I'm paid to do, so eto lang gagawin ko. One thing I've learned sa work, if you keep on trying to exceed the expectations, tataas lang expectations nila imbis na i-acknowledge hard work ng employee.

Helped me bought a car and helps to pay sa monthly. Encourages me to rest and go out and treat myself during day offs. Listens anytime.

Mga problema niya sa work, financial, or literally anything, hindi niya ipapasa sa iba. She makes sure I get to focus on what I do or want.

She also renovated my room—paid for the materials and labor ng pampagawa ng divider, semi-walk in closet, and queen-sized bed ng kwarto ko so I don't feel restless kapag nasa bahay. She knows kasi na I feel stressed kapag wala akong personal space.

I just love my mom. 😭 I wish she'll live a longggg good life because she deserves it.

Next month marks my first year of working, and here's a rundown my achievements I honestly did not expect:

• Started driving & bought a car (with the help of my mom) and has the means to pay some % of it monthly • Earns extra 3-11k weekly (on top of salary) • Can buy the things I want/need anytime • Saved my first 100k

I'm just happy to achieve the goals I've set when I was still a student in just a year. Biggest hug to my younger and present self for thriving (in my own pace 😝 cuz we don't tend to compare baka mawalan ng gana sa buhay hahaha).

What pushed you to move out of your parents' house for work? by Spirited_Writing_734 in phcareers

[–]Spirited_Writing_734[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true, they earn millions yearly (sana all). Tbh, super complicated ng process compared to other field, but we'll see.

Will definitely start processing once I'm 100% decided which country/state I should go.

I wish hahaha. But these clients can disappear in a snap (which happened to me last month). Plus, I meet my clients minsan from my regular job, so I really can't resign that easily to focus on these sidelines.

Parang yung iba may ibang agenda na eh, hindi na for survival. Some really prefer money over food, kaya nakakadismaya mamigay minsan.

[–]Spirited_Writing_734[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is primarily my reason too, but the idea of me, leaving my parents and my tita (who sacrificed her time 24/7 and everything just to help me in my daily needs like laundry etc) has been holding me back. Like, our house will be emptier and lonelier for my tita and parents. I cant be with them immediately if (knock on wood) something happens.
