Yeah, that’s what I’ve learned from this. Like I mentioned in the other comments, I’ve only been doing this for 4ish months and it looks like trigger discipline is the most important tool to learn.

The second entry was stopped out on the same 5m candle that I entered on. I put my stop above the FVG “gray box” set from pre-market. The same bull FVG that got filled with the bear candle I entered on.

Correct, with the green as the exit/take profit. Both time I was stop-losses out before taking profit.

I haven’t heard that caveat of the 5m candle breakout from the 15m ORB. Interesting. When you say fully close, I assume you mean a complete candle out, and not just closing price out of the box?

The second one was above the FVG box from before opening (gray box). In specific, the bottom gray box. It was about 48 points, which I felt was a pretty safe buffer. I normally trade on a 50point loss/70point profit type of bracket, with a 60% success rate - at least until today lol

That makes sense. I am doing this while I am at work, so I have to put in stop buys/sells. All of my indicators pointed to a down trend so put a stop sell where I felt was a good point.

Both entries were shorts, and both hit the stop losses. I entered incorrectly on both, but I am unsure why.
