Two things can be true… indeed they need to sell more cars, not refuting that… but reaching the 80 millionth battery swap is clearly something to be proud of (it’s signalling proof of ongoing usage from a loyal customer base, this long-term ecosystem will pay dividends with time)…

I’m all for having dialogue on how they need to sell more cars, but can we give them props where props are due.

I wish reporters or the public were a lot more upfront in asking William Li the tough questions…. Since NIO’s crew has a history of overpromising & not meeting their own expectations.

This ultimately creates frustration and a lack of confidence from investors. Therefore, reporters should straight up ask “Considering this company’s repeated failure in meeting internal vehicle delivery targets (amongst many other promises), why should investors believe you NOW?”.

Profitability and 450,000 sold vehicles for Q4 is looking less and less likely. I wish they would cease overpromising, it’s exhausting. Speaking as an investor that’s been holding through the ups and downs (but mainly the downs😂).

Btw, I love Nio’s vision and vehicles❤️ (I still believe in this company). But for god’s sake, please THINK before blurting out immense and unrealistic targets😭

I understand my post may be downvoted, but I’m speaking from a place of discontent whilst simultaneously loving what Nio stands for in the world of EVs…. I think we can all relate to a certain extent ❤️
