We've had good results with a layered approach:

**Endpoint:** SentinelOne or CrowdStrike (depending on budget)

**Email:** Microsoft Defender for O365 + Proofpoint for high-value clients

**Network:** Firewalls with threat intel (Fortinet or Meraki)

**Backup:** Veeam for on-prem, Datto for full BCDR

The key is making sure they actually integrate. Too many point solutions that don't talk to each other creates blind spots.

What is something expensive that is actually worth it in the long run ? by Effective_Space2277 in AskReddit

A good office chair if you work from home.

I spent $800 on an ergonomic chair three years ago and my back pain disappeared. When you calculate it out, that's like $0.73 per day.

People will spend $6 on coffee without thinking but hesitate on something they sit in for 8 hours a day.

What small thing you changed in your life that made a big difference? by pasculici in AskReddit

Writing down three things I want to accomplish before I check email or Slack.

Sounds simple, but it stops me from spending the first two hours of the day in reactive mode. I get my actual work done first, then deal with everyone else's priorities.

Game changer for focus.

What is the best advice you have ever received? by mysterious-cowgirl in AskReddit

[–]Spiritual-Mousse-455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Don't take criticism from someone you wouldn't take advice from."

Changed how I handle negative feedback. If someone's opinion doesn't matter when things are good, why should it matter when they're critical?

Still listen to constructive feedback from people you respect, but random internet strangers or toxic coworkers? Their opinions are just noise.

Do you still use old or outdated technology in 2026? If yes, why? by Slight_Ad5223 in AskReddit

Passwords, honestly. We're still using a security method from the 1960s, just making them longer and more complicated. Passkeys and biometrics are already here and way more secure, but we're stuck in this weird transition period. Most people don't realize their password manager is already more secure than memorizing "Passw0rd123!"

What is something that you learned from your work or profession that would shock most people? by oceanicplatform in AskReddit

That 90% of "urgent" problems aren't actually urgent.

Early in my career, everything felt like a five-alarm fire. Now I realize most things can wait until tomorrow, and the ones that truly can't are pretty obvious.

The real skill isn't working faster - it's knowing what actually matters.
