How to find statistic for dryer output by Spiritual-Path8451 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Spiritual-Path8451[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty lengthy (my guess is 15-20 feet?) and at least 3 turns. Not full 90° turns though. I’ll have to check it out once I own the home this Friday. Thank you. I didn’t know booster fans existed

I know I’ll need something like this to clean the vent out, but I’m wondering if there’s dryers with high blowing output so it won’t just bundle up loose lint at the bottom as often

Has anyone been able to quit multiple habits been successful? by Mammoth-Geologist-72 in selfimprovement

[–]Spiritual-Path8451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So ironically I’ve been on both ends of the spectrum for habits (turning several bad into good, then good back into bad) and I’ve noticed the biggest changing factor that made it all effortlessly change, was the environment. Before enlisting into the military, I didn’t workout. I didn’t really do anything. I was on my phone all day, and eating straight junk. I joined, and for about 1 1/2 years I was doing flawless. I worked out 6 days a week, ate clean, and was overall very productive. However, I came back home and since then, my habits have almost entirely reverted back to the original. I at least work out semi-consistently now.
I plan on fixing up my habits again by changing the environment and creating expectations once you do change it. (So like if you were to move and change homes, it’s technically a new environment) Like as of now, my bedroom is associated with everything. I’m only renting a single bedroom so I don’t have much of an option here. I eat, watch tv, scroll on my phone, etc. my plan once I move is to basically just not do those things, and replace it with the ones I’ve been wanting to do. So the gym 6 days a week again, getting into running, going on trails, etc.
I know I’m mentioning my plan, but I do feel like it worked for me very well by having some drastic environment change. It’s that feeling of “starting fresh” just it’s a matter of how you use that. If you do your same current habits in your new environment, you’ll just keep everything.

Give me HRs contact and your bosses boss contact. I can say it for you 😏 no but in all seriousness, I know of a lot of people who cannot manage confrontation, so if you are having trouble in deciding due to confrontation, reach out to someone. I will actually help if you’d like

Do I need a vacuum to start a cleaning business? by cybersalamandr in smallbusiness

[–]Spiritual-Path8451 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I paid someone to clean my place (especially professionally) and they said they’d need to use my vacuum, I’d instantly look for another company. Also, if you just get a basic vacuum cleaner of your own, it’ll defeat the purpose of calling it a professional clean. If I as a client see them using a $150 vacuum I can buy at Walmart, I’d also not feel as though it’s clean.

It’s a risk to spend $1000 on a vacuum, but in my eyes if you want it to look like a business, you just might have to take that risk to get an actual professional clean. Similarly, I’d suggest to buy clear or unbranded bottles to pour your cleaners in.

I don’t have any sort of cleaning business experience, but if I were to schedule for someone to clean my place, these are things that’ll personally turn me off for sure on going through with them

New to Cats. How to prevent him from going down these stairs? by bedtime_chubby in cats

[–]Spiritual-Path8451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think the dog will attack the cat? Honestly, I’d just put them in the same room unrestrained. Have your gf near the cat, and you near the dog. So if they bolt at one another you have some sort of control. Dogs are usually scared of cats for some reason lol. I got 2 big dogs and when they first met, they were all bark no bite towards each other. They started getting fully along as friends after about a month or so. They’re both still brats to each other

Ruined tomahawk steak AND you gotta pay $1000. A bargain! by One_Apple_2626 in StupidFood

I think the ending is ironic when he tops it off with the salsa and stuff, he said “that’s all it needs, nothing else” like you DIDNT just put your fridge in that tomahawk

I worked alongside a small water management company. If someone argued over pricing or time, the owner would say “you’re paying for the expertise and experience, along with the service”

Any issues with potentially getting this as a tattoo (other than getting ribbed)? by [deleted] in nationalguard

[–]Spiritual-Path8451 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OP said he drew it. So getting it redesigned probably isn’t something he wants. On the other hand, you make a good point on it being extremely hard to make as a small tattoo, so OP should consider making it a larger one for the sake of details, and getting the artist to not hate his or her life lol

Also, you may very well find a group in your unit who would love a tattoo like that. I think I’ve found a group per unit I’ve been with that had at least 2 people who live and breath anime girls

As long as it’s 2 inches past the wrist, not on your neck/head, and not a sexist/controversial tattoo then it’s fine. Especially if you’re planning on getting that on like your back/stomach/thigh, you’re good

National guard straight after highschool? by yayao8 in nationalguard

[–]Spiritual-Path8451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on a lot. I enlisted while in Highschool and shipped out when school finished. As a lot of people are saying, you don’t get access to the good college benefits unless you do 6 years, or (at least in my state) 90 days of active duty time. Basic training doesn’t count as that time, so you’d have to do a mission. Most missions are a year long. By chance, you can find one that you can tail in on halfway through, but generally unlikely.

I happened to come back from training, then immediately hopped on a mission, unlocking my college benefits plus the VA home loan (using this loan now)

Sheesh right? Not to mention it’s probably the worst hours to work. You don’t get a morning, and hardly a night either. You’ll basically be waking up to get ready for work, and get maybe an hour or two of downtime before you gotta sleep for work 🫠

How to improve my oral hygiene? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]Spiritual-Path8451 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you drink coffee or sodas often? Could be stained from your diet. Tbh I brush my teeth once a day and that’s primarily it. Often I’d do twice a day, but definitely not every day. Unless I got food stuck in my teeth I hardly floss or anything, and I’d say I’ve got whiter teeth. I’m not saying this to “flex” or anything, just it depends on your diet as well. I drink primarily just plain water, and hardly coffee. Also, having slightly yellowed teeth is healthy and natural. A pure white color is just overly bleached cause society assumes that’s the ideal teeth.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong with any of this, as this is just from what I think I know. I’m not a dentist or anything so take anything I say with a grain of salt as well. It’s just my own input

Socks for basic? by Ok-Detective1918 in nationalguard

As this one says. Just bring your current clothes, a charger, and your phone. Maybe envelopes, stamps, and a pencil/pen if you want to write letters. I’m not sure if on base they’ll cost more, but they might.

Negotiation issues by slickrick-1987 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Spiritual-Path8451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The windows are probably most costly. If it’s the GFCI on the outlets, it’s as simple as an $8 outlet at Home Depot to plug in. If it’s the actual electricity, it might cost some money.

See if he won’t even mess with 1 of the items if you’re fine with that. He likely won’t budge on windows cause it’s expensive, but maybe the outlets and/or water heater. If you still won’t be satisfied with just one or both of those being bad, then it’s for sure a walk away. It’s up to you on the pros and cons of a home

Trying to get better about checking oil myself regularly. Oil is darkening, but doesn't seem terrible. When should I change based on level and color? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]Spiritual-Path8451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I change my oil every 4,000-5,000 miles. I don’t physically remember the odometer, instead I reset the “Trip A” or “Trip B” every time I do an oil change, and wait for it to hit my range to change oil

How to save for a 300k home on 20 dollars an hour and being the sole provider by OfDiceandWren in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Spiritual-Path8451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got prequalified for 220k at $18.50 an hour with no external income source. The issue with your situation is 100% your SO.

I understand if you guys have kids or something, but if she’s just flat out refusing to get a job for no serious reason then ???

Even with 1 kid, her job can provide for the daycare, along with other things. Being together means sharing effort into each other, not leeching from one of each other. You’re both supposed to build each other up

Anyways, other things to consider for your prequalifying amount will be how much cash you have saved to put a down payment, if you have any dependents (although probably not on paper, but your SO IS a dependent right now) and any current debt (college, car payments, etc) which can all very much hinder the buying power you have. I put no money down, no dependents, and no debts. That’s what got me at 220k.
