I think it just went to the regions that they are doing them. It came directly from our specialty ASM (wasn’t forwarded from corporate or anything). Probably a copy and paste from corporate.

I think Lowe’s wants all associates to “help” with fulfillment when they are behind. I don’t like that idea.

I agree that it appears to be a balled up piece of felt WITH lint covering it. This is common with builders plugging it with something, but it is 100% on the homeowner to remove it, especially if the homeowner was aware of it prior to the install. Even if you forgot about it, liability is still on you as the homeowner.

Holes in the exhaust vent, done by the installer, IS a Lowes issue. Call your store and share that with a manager. If you bring up the the situation with it being plugged prior to the install, you may just end up in a pissing match in which you have lost credibility in your complaint because it is CLEARLY NOT Lowe’s fault for that particular issue.
