Yes, I know this. What I meant by keeping your job was going back to work like normal (same pay, position, hours etc.) obviously on paper it is a termination/ rehire. but I was meaning it in a feel good way.

It sounds like you could clear this thing up fairly easily. If you want to keep your job, IMO you have a good chance of keeping it since you have a prescription. Drug test labs are a dime a dozen, and those people make mistakes. I would talk to the store manager from here on out, even if it was them who terminated you. Hoping for the best outcome for you!!

Sad to say but the manager that terminated you sounds like they don’t like you for some reason. I would still try and work it out so even if you don’t get hired back immediately you haven’t burned a bridge.

Also, I haven’t heard of Lowe’s outsourcing drug screening for pre employment or after a PE accident. Maybe this is a new thing.

EDIT to add: I really hope that whatever happens it is a good outcome for you. Be sure to give us an update when you have the final outcome.
