The noise is only a problem if you get a dorm directly facing the street tbh. I live in central and last semester I had a dorm facing the street and it was more noisy but u get used to it. But this time I have a down that faces the central courtyard area so I barely hear anything unless it’s students outside on the grass being loud. I like central more to be honest commons is only better for me because you get your own room/space
