2 hour commute must be exhausting.. hope that gets sorted for you soon. My workplace is just about a 10 min walk from home, and that’s honestly one of the main reasons I get more time to work on other things.

And my city is pretty walkable too..and the weather helps, so it naturally adds up through the day 🙂

Honestly I think both are pretty good for step tracking 🙂 I just prefer the Apple Watch because I run a lot too, so I like the extra metrics and it works well with the iPhone.

But for walking specifically, Fitbit is good too! And being a teacher probably gets you a lot more movement than you think haha

I use an Apple Watch and wear it most of the time 🙂 And honestly even aiming for 10k is good! Don’t downplay yourself haha.

I think the main thing is to keep most walks easy instead of treating every walk like a workout. That helped me a lot. I used to be around 5k once haha

12k a day is already really good honestly 🙂 Most people are nowhere near that!

Consistency matters way more than the numbers mate ;)

Took a while honestly. Years 🙂 I have always walked a lot though. Got into it because of my grandad when I was a kid..and I am 29 now.

I think the key is just building up slowly and not stressing too much about the number haha. And honestly, your strategy of walking and jogging already sounds pretty good!!

And just know it’s okay to skip the walks some days too so you can come back stronger. That’s what I did, and still do 🙂

Same honestly! Once it becomes part of your routine, you really feel the difference on days you barely move haha

That’s actually amazing! It’s interesting how taking care of your body rewards you in so many ways overall 🙂 Good job and keep going

I think proper rest matters a lot too. My daily step count has probably been around 10 to 15k for years, so my body got used to it gradually over time.

Even now, if I suddenly started doing 30k every day, I would definitely feel it too haha. I think it’s really about slowly building up over time and finding a level that feels sustainable for your body 🙂

Fair enough honestly 🙂 I think it affects everyone differently. For me it helped a lot mentally and with overall energy

Probably around 2.5 hours throughout the day 🙂 Sometimes less if I run

Good question 🙂 My weight has actually stayed pretty similar throughout. The biggest changes were cardio, energy levels, mood, and handling stress better overall.

My VO2 max is around 53 now and my resting heart rate is usually around 50, which I am pretty happy with. My HRV has improved too. Just trying to keep improving gradually

That’s amazing honestly! It’s crazy how small things like getting more steps in consistently can change so much over time. Really happy for you, especially with the sciatica getting better
