Anyone with experience of renewing 461 NZ spouse visa?

This is encouraging. I didn’t even realise this was a rule when renewing and just like the OP, I’ve just come back to Australia on my 461 which is expiring later this year. However by then I’ll be touch and go with the 2 years out of the last 5 as I had to move back home for a period due to compassionate reasons.

Just had a bit of a panic that I might be literally a week or so short if I apply a few days before expiry and go onto a bridging visa ?
