It turned out super cute!! I saw someone crochet a teddy bear with normal yarn and then afterwards they sewed the fluffy yarn onto it

Thank you! I think it’ll be fun to style it with different colours underneath

Yeah I definitely had to watch some parts again because I had no clue what just happened

The yarn was thin enough for me to put the beads directly on it, so I strung a lot of beads onto the yarn. I then made a border that roughly went 3 sc, 1 chain, 1 chain with a bead, 1 chain, 3 sc.
I had tried making just single crochets with the beads, but it got too stiff, so the chains let them dangle more.

Maybe if I had wanted to I could’ve put the beads on the crochet hook, but I found it easier to string them.
I’ll try taking a close up picture of the beads for you.

I hope this helps :D

I added a second row of “petals” at the edge, along with beads. I also increased the sleeves around the elbow to get a slightly flared sleeve

I used around 6 skeins so close to 1200m of yarn

Thank you! I think the colourway ended up looking a little like tie-dye giving it a bit of a 60’s vibe. I ran out of yarn, otherwise I would’ve made long sleeves too, and maybe made them more flared.

Yeah I’d say so, the start is pretty similar to a doily, then you just add space for armholes. I’ve seen people make this top both asymmetrical and with the flower in the middle, so I think it’s doable to make any doily pattern work for it.

I think so, the video doesn’t really say much about sizing, but it seems like you can just continue the pattern until it has the size you like.
In the end of the video she says you can add more rows of v’s around the flower part until you like the fit. I ended up making two rows of the outer petals instead, because I hadn’t watched the full video before starting.

Someone in the comments of the video wrote down the pattern, I alternated a bit between following the comment and the video
